Ferl’lak took what the Captain said to heart and quickly set up a meeting to discuss the new crew he brought over to help fix the radiation infected ship. They are called the Takret and they were the answer to Ferl’lak’s prayers. Now he was going to host a meeting with medical, command and anyone else to talk about the new crew and their cultural habits, foods, biology and other traits. He set up a nice buffet for the meeting and is waiting in his suit for people to arrive.

The CO walked into the room carrying his trademark cup of coffee and looked at the food. “Nice Spread, Mr. Ferl’lak. You do know how to ingratiate yourself with folks, don’t you?” Stout said with a small smile. He didn’t go to the buffet, but instead took a seat at the table.
Stout, CO
Ferl’lak smiled. “I have learned that it is customary to give refreshments to these things. People don’t want to be here but the food and drink helps.”Mike entered next with a pad in his hand he was putting a list together to give to the COS and he was very upset one of his Engineers who were in the explosion from earlier today did not make it. He found a open set a pretty much collapsed on it. He saw the CO and thought to himself I guess I need to tell him about my augments.
Lt. Mike Knight (CE)
He saw the CE walk in and take a seat. Realizing what happened earlier he spoke up but kept it vague for the others. “Mr. Knight. I can send you the transcripts of this briefing to you later if you’d like. You might have other things to attend to if you want to leave.?
Ferl’lak
Lt. Mike looked at him “i will be fine can i use the rest room to clean my face up” he got up and entered the rest room he turned the water in the sink on and washed his face. When he was done his cybernetic eyes focused on everything around him. ” still haven’t told any one about my cybernetic implants only medical knows that if they read my files that is”Mike entered the main room he looked abit better. He walk to the tabel and got himself a soda to drink.
Lt. Mike Knight (CE)
“Certainly.” He watched him leave and come back. He has dealt with people under him dying and sometimes it was hard for him and other times it was that person’s duty and he didn’t care.Yuri walked in shortly afterwards with his own padd to cover the medical aspects of the meeting that they were about to have. He nodded in turn to the Captain and Mr. Ferl’lak in turn as he spoke. “Good day Captain, Mr. Ferl’lak. Apologies on tardiness.” He glanced over towards the Chief Engineer before looking back towards the pair. “There was .. unfortunate situation that required attention.” The medical team that had been working on the Engineer did what they could, but unfortunately the damage from the blast that the closer Engineer took was just too extensive for his body. His sacrifice saved the other Engineer, but it’s never easy to lose a comrade. The two seemed quite close even though the other Engineer had some minor burns and a concussion, but her only concern was for the other. He recommended some counseling, but with no counselor aboard .. he would try his best in the long run.
OOC: I’m hoping this is the same event that you were thinking of and that I got everything right?
Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)
“Good day doctor. That is quite alright.”
OOC: you did perfect
Lt. Mike walked over to the Doctor ” hey Yuri” he said in a low voice ” did you read my file” he asked.
Lt.Mike Knight (CE)
Yuri gave a single nod. “Mmm.” He looked down at his padd starting to bring things up to prep for the meeting. Keeping his voice low as well he continued, “Patient records are confidential, though I make point to understand crewmates medical needs.”
Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)
OOC: My apologies. I thought that the death of a crewman would have been known to the Captain by now. Sorry again.
IC: “Ok. Let’s get started. We can bring other up to speed when they arrive.” He had a small thing in his hand like a remote control and he pressed the button. A screen came down and showed the Takret anatomy.” This doctor will be sent to you right after the meeting and one of their doctors will be in your office tomorrow morning to circus with you in greater depth about their anatomy and the like. This is just a briefing.”
“They are remarkable people and because of their homeworlds close proximity to a star, they have developed either extremely high tolerances or an immunity to radiation. We most kinds anyway. They also sleep only once a week. They have a hard time digesting Hew-Mon food and I have taken the liberty of having their replicators programmed with their food and drinks in their living areas.”
“So as you can see with this information we can get the radioactive ship cleaned up and fixed in half the time with their help. And before anyone mentions it. No. I’m not a slaver…at least not anymore, and know the Federation’s work policy. I plan to work them in 12 hour shifts instead of the normal eight. They will rotate around the clock and will get two days off, in a row just like the regular crew members. Way they do on their own downtime, I don’t know. With that said. Once Starfleet and others see how well of a job we can do in half the time thereshould be no shortage of new contracts coming or way. Once the ship is decontaminated then they will work the same hours as any other member. They only work like that for radioactive vessels or jobs. What are your questions at this time?”
OOC: Here’s a link of them. http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Takret
Ferl’lak
“Not as much question as instead statement Mr. Ferl’lak. Their physiology is very interesting, but Takret will still need to go through decontamination when coming from vessel. They may be immune, but others on ship not immune to radiation that their bodies absorb.” He glanced at his padd to track the progress of the decontamination station that was already being built up at the umbilical entrance. “The decon station should be finished shortly after meeting will end I believe?” He did think of one other thing almost as an afterthought. “Will Takret need Hazmat suit? Might be easier for decontamination if wearing them? Otherwise clothes will need to be taken after return from ship to decontaminate and return to them. We can provide provisional clothes in mean time.” The temporary clothing wasn’t anything fancy, but at least they wouldn’t have to walk around naked once they returned from the radioactive vessel.
Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)
“Ah! A very good point doctor. I will have them wear the hazmat suits. It will make things easier for all. Any other questions?”
Ferl’lak
Major Decker, the Chief of Security walked in to the room. PaDD in hand, he walked to an empty seat.
“Sorry I’m late everyone,” he said with a look at everyone. “Just got back from TAD, and was kinda caught up to speed. Somewhat.” Decker looked at his PaDD. “After hearing about the death of an engineer, which seems to have been foul play, and under the request from Lt. Knight here, I have dispatched 3 teams throughout the facility and the making rounds, looking out for anything suspicious. The team leaders will report with me after their rotation is over. Every 6 hours on and off.”
Decker sat down, and looked around waiting to see what happened next.
