Decker had a slow start getting upon his arrival on the Serenity. He’s already seen some major red flags that he hopes Engineering will take care of ASAP. He wouldn’t want to go up to a junior officer in charge, and rip him a new one, though the thought of that would be completely hilarious. Of course, that lighting issue made him go to the wrong place, and low and behold he ended up running into the last person he’d ever think of seeing here, an old friend. Had a great conversation, but sooner than later, duty calls, and he’d have to make his way around to do his immediate check ins.

He assumed the CO knew he was on board, so he politely told his friend that he’d be back, but didn’t want to keep the CO waiting. Decker looked at his PaDD once again, this time finding out where he needed to be. Made the corrections, and headed to the CO ready room. He assumed the CO would be in there, since a plethora of staff will be piling in soon. Decker stood in front of the door, looking at the numbers in the low light to make sure he was in the right place. He was. He pressed his thumb on the plate, to send the chime to let the CO, if he was in there, that someone was at his door.
