While wandering the corridors since he was no longer on shift at that point in time , he was still rather dumbstruck at the events that had just occurred. He walked in and found a somewhat secluded spot at one of the booth/tables in the back of the legendary Atlantis Lounge. He sat down and breathed a sigh of relief leaning back in the padded corner booth he was in. “What a day ..” He said aloud, quietly, but to no one in particular. His hand almost subconsciously came up to his collar to feel the two new shiny golden Lieutenant pips on his collar still only expecting to feel the single Ensign pip he had become accustomed to. He usually wasn’t one to come to a place like this, but for this kind of occasion he felt like he could use a bit of a break from the ordinary. The blue light and atmosphere of the lounge wasn’t all that bad to be honest. Not to mention since the lounge was still fairly new, not too many people found their way there, but it was steadily getting more and more people to it as the news traveled of the station being active again. He placed his arms up on the top sides of the booth actually looking relaxed for once since their arrival. He’ll probably have to order some of the good Scotch for this occasion. Hopefully there was still some left? He just waited patiently as he was in no rush, taking in the atmosphere.
Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)
“You look like you could use a drink,” The light sound of a feminine voice peirced the calm atmosphere of the lounge. If Yuri were to turn, he would see a curvy woman, dressed in a knee-length dress, a glass in her hand as she cleaned it, contentedly, with a withered cloth. Her hair was a deep black, laying flat against her back and shoulders, adding an eerie light to her pale gaze. “But not in a way that seems to be for poor reasoning.” A smile creased her lips, a friendly twinkle dancing within her pale grey gaze. “Am I right and can get you a drink or wrong and should leave like this never happened?”
Nameless Woman
BartenderYuri turned his head to see the woman cleaning the glass. “Hmm ..? Well, drink always good to relax with. I could use one, yes. Scotch if I may.” Yuri paused for a moment. “The good kind of course.” He gave a slight grin as he straightened himself out as he sat, pulling his arms off the side of the backing of the booth. He looked at her for a moment, almost studying her. “I don’t … believe we have met before ..?” He couldn’t quite recall seeing her face before from everyone that’s come aboard, though not everyone checks into medical. There was something he couldn’t quite place about her was it the atmosphere? Something about her? He couldn’t figure it out.
Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)
“Of course,” She smiled, charmingly, making her way around the counter before she was situated behind it. Preparing him the desired drink, she placed it gently in front of him, her smile turning to a seemingly friendly smirk. “No, I don’t believe we have..” She noted his appearance, “Doctor.” She knew his name, and rank. However, that could have easily been her seeing him about the shipyard. “I am Cheniya Hobson,” She offered a tanned hand, to shake. “You are Ensign Yuri Balashov, correct?” She paused, “Or is it Lieutenant? News travels oddly about this place.. you never know what to trust.”
C. Hobson
BartenderThe tanned hand didn’t quite seem to match the pale gaze that he had seen earlier, perhaps it was just the lighting after all? He dismissed it for now and reached out to shake her hand as well. “A pleasure Ms. Hobson, but yes correct on both counts. As of few hours ago, Lieutenant now.” He grinned a bit. “Hence, relaxing and drink after long day.” He sat back a bit again looking around the lounge as the lights danced around. “Station is small place, not surprising word traveling so quickly. More people coming to station makes lively place as well.”
Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)
Her unnaturally grey eyes were the only indication of something being off, physically, about the young woman, who seemed to be just a year or two younger than Yuri, himself. Shaking his hand, her grip meager and simple, her smile was unwavering, before she pulled it away to pour herself a shot of whiskey. “Congratulations on your promotion, Lieutenant Balashov.” She grinned, “Is this drink a form of celebration?” She inquired, quirking a brow towards him. “Oh, I see.” She added, upon realizing. “This station is quite lively, and will only become more so, as time wears on. After all, time equals people.. and people, well.. they equal chaos and pleasure.”
C. Hobson
BartenderHe hadn’t quite thought much of the last part of her statement, but people could be quite chaotic and well.. He cleared his through to rid himself of going down that thought path. “Very true people .. can be variety of things. Good, bad, chaotic.. entertaining. Best part of learning and meeting new people is to see what interests they hold. I am sure more people in station will keep everyone busy.” He laughed a little bit and also at the same time, started paying a bit more attention to her eyes. Granted he always acted in a respectful manner and looked at those who were talking to him, but he wanted to figure out one thing that had been at the back of his mind whether to rule it out or not. Always thinking in a medical manner was sometimes a burden, but it always opened up new questions and ideas. Specifically he was curious as to the directions that she was looking at when she spoke. “Perhaps, to station? I can drink to that.” He slid his drink back closer to himself on the table before picking it up, waiting for her response.

“Ah, yes. And it is not limited to just those of the human race,” She remarked, her slightly accented voice clearly of Terran origin, which made it easier to identify her as some kind of human. Cheniya offered him a smile, as it didn’t reach her crystalline eyes, perhaps another reason for concern about her persona. As for that gaze, she knew he was watching them, tentative about speaking to her. She was queer, in more ways than one, making her both dangerous and helpful. However, she didn’t let this show freely. “Indeed; to the station.” She picked up her shot of whiskey, raising it slightly, as if roasting to the station, itself.
C. Hobson
BartenderYuri nodded at her wording. “Exactly. That is why I mentioned people instead of just humans.” He raised his glass as well before enjoying the scotch that was inside. “Ah… now that is satisfying taste!” He gently sat his cup back down on the table. He was still curious about this person he’s never seen before, though he didn’t quite know how or what to ask. “If you are able to, please, sit. I am no counselor, so don’t worry. Just doctor.” He chuckled lightly at somewhat of an internal medical field joke. He still viewed mental health as important as physical health, though it seems they each gave each other somewhat of a hard time. A friendly rivalry of sorts perhaps between fields? “It sounds as you are from Earth I take? If you mind me asking, which part?”

Elizabeth made her way over to Yuri and her latest bartender. “Well, how are you doing Doc? how is my lovely new Bartender Cheniya treating you tonight?” Elizabeth asked smiling at the two of them. The fiery-haired owner of the bar/lounge was glad to see Yuri returning to her Bar she noticed the shiny new pips, “Congrats Lieutenant.” she smiled.
