“We can rotate positions as we feel necessary if things get too out of control and someone else excels in that particular field. I know we’re going to need a great CTO for this and I honestly couldn’t think of anyone better in such a position, so Commander Saunders, please take Tactical.” He changed his attention to the somewhat flustered Vulcan, “Commander T’Pon, being a JAG I do believe that comes with a certain level of leadership and trust involved with such a position along with a determined and focused mindset. I’d like you to be the XO for this sim.”

OOC: Not too sure if the following are participating? Hopefully we can have everyone!
IC: He scanned around the room for the Chief Engineer who he thought he heard a bit earlier. “Lieutenant Argeneau? If you could, please take Engineering. I believe that only leaves one other … Major Crystal, I do understand you mostly deal with Starfleet Marine Corps, but would you like to deal with Security? I do hope we can avoid being boarded, but they’ll definitely be in for a surprise with SFMC dealing with our interior.” He then scanned around the room to ensure that everyone was set, this was going to be a challenge he was sure no one would forget, even himself. He only then took his seat in the Captain’s chair. “I need a status report and ready all stations. Let’s hope we don’t start off with any surprises.”

Maxwell Saunders
AC (I’ll just put AC for Acting Captain for this sim!)

Lt. K’Vexx understood the conditions for the sim and had no problem with Major Crystal taking his normal position at the Security station. He looked expectantly towards the Acting Captain and asked, “Would you like me to take the conn, sir? I have some experience with piloting and I have looked over the specs for the Dauntless.”

The Lt Cmdr. walked to the tactical station as he said “Yes sir.” He worked some of the controls to make sure everything was in working order. “Tactical is operating in optimal condition.”

Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
Tactical Chief

As T’Pon entered the simulation, she sat down next to the captain in her designated role as executive officer. Taking some initiative, she decided to check some things.

“Tactical Chief, please examine the weapons and maneuvering capabilities of the ship. Report them to me and the captain when done,” she said, as dryly as a Vulcan would.

T’Pon, Sim XO

“Understood sir, the results should take about 5 minutes.” the tactical officer said.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

The ship’s maneuvering thrusters and power were at full capacity. Weapon’s arsenal was loaded with phasers banks and torpedoes at peak efficiency.

“That would be ma’am, tactical chief…” T’Pon said, clearly annoyed at being called a man.

T’Pon, Sim XO

“Yes Ma’am, sorry Ma’am”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

OOC: Sorry for posting late, guys, had to work this weekend :-(

Lt. K’Vexx, CoS/Curtiss

“Ma’am, all weapons are in working order and accounted for and the maneuvering capabilities are at maximum efficiency.” The Lt. Cmdr. said.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief
OOC: Ahhh I forgot about you K’Vexx D: didn’t see you in the initial posting for some reason x_x and no worries, I’m no stranger to working weekends myself.

IC: Max extended his arm towards the station, “Lieutenant K’Vexx, please do. I have faith that we’ll be in good hands with you at the conn. If you could, double check all flight procedures and let’s give her a go.” He raised an eyebrow for a moment and glanced down to one of the remaining stations. “Do we have anyone set at the Science station or anyone familiar with the sensor array? If you could, bring up our currently location on the main holo display. I want to have a good idea on where were are so that we can prepare.” Having that display up would be critical to their surroundings as it gave their location, and anything in relation to that. Especially handy when it came to the battlefield.

Maxwell Saunders
AC
“Very well Tactical Chief. Give me a rundown of all the weapons out our disposal please.”

T’Pon, Sim XO

“We have 80 photon and 40 quantum torpedoes and 6 type X phaser arrays throughout the perimeter of the ship. All are armed and ready.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Before everyone had the chance to settle, the simulation was underway. Long range sensors would indicate a vessel approaching at warp 4.

Ael Aihia, simulation programmer.

“Ma’am (sim XO)! Sensors just snapped on, there’s a vessel approaching us at warp 4! Unidentifiable at this time.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief
OOC: My bad, I split the topic .. tends to happen when I reply at work because I didn’t refresh the page lol pasted my reply in

IC: “Hail the approaching vessel and angle us to be slightly offset to the arrival of the vessel, I want a clear shot to maneuver in case we need it and raise shields. Yellow alert.” He knew this wasn’t going to be easy with the Captain’s foreshadowing earlier mentioning battle stations, still if there was a way to resolve a conflict diplomatically, he would try to pursue it.

Maxwell Saunders
AC

“Aye, sir,” K’Vexx responded as he settled into the Conn and maneuvered to the indicated spot.

At fifteen thousand kilometers it dropped from warp, revealing itself on short-range sensors as a D’deridex class Warbird in pristine condition. Its shiny, emerald exterior gave off an eerie aura; a strange concoction of prestige and malice.

“Hailing frequencies are open, so far no answer. Our ship is on yellow alert.” Bill Saunders shouted.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Each attempt the Dauntless made to hail them was fruitless. It was at their wits end that someone answered, but the communication was faint.

“Wait…I think I’m getting something from our hail…It’s faint but coming through.” Saunders said as he tried to pinpoint where the message from the vessel is coming from.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Once optimised, the message became clearer.

“Some kind of message is coming through clearer now.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“Tactical chief, put the message on loudspeaker please so all can hear.”

Heather continued to remain at her station as she listened wondering what the message was.

Heather Argeneau, CE

Commander T’Pon, Sim XO

After working the controls on his console, the tactical chief then said, “Message coming through the loudspeakers now.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“Federation,” the screen blipped from the greater expanse of space to the slim, organized interior of a military bridge. Situated in the centre chair, her poise reeking of ascendancy, a Romulan woman stared level with Captain Saunders’ eye. “You have crossed into Romulan territory. State your business.” Her voice was achingly familiar, but nothing was more telling than the hostility in her gaze.

Simulation

“Romulan! How did we get across their border?” Bill Wondered.
Lt Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

T’Pon would stand up from her chair and approach the screen.

“Hail Romulan! We were not in any way shape or form aware that we were in Romulan territory. Can we examine our interstellar maps to see if your claim is correct before we continue?”

The Romulan woman looked up T’Pon with great disdain. “I suggest you do so quickly but I doubt you will find my accusations false,” she scrutinized the Vulcan before her, “Commander.

T’Pon then looked sideways at whoever was near the navigation console.

“Interstellar maps. Now,” she said incredibly dryly, though at a volume the Romulan could not possibly hear.

Commander T’Pon, Sim XO

Max stood and held up his hand as he walked over to the viewscreen himself politely requesting silence on the bridge as he began to greet the Romulan knowing they took a diplomatic hand. They had always been difficult to deal with due to their proud and aggressive nature, but he hoped he could perhaps negotiate in a way. They were still trying to get everything up and running and had no idea where they were, so in truth it would be a rather truthful bluff. “Shaoi kon, Enarrain. I am Captain Maxwell Saunders of the USS Dauntless, I would like to offer our sincerest apologies for intruding into your rightfully claimed, sovereign space. At the current moment our navigational array had been malfunctioning and we had stopped here for repairs instead of navigating anywhere to avoid such a situation that we.. unfortunately currently find ourselves in. We don’t wish to be a burden upon your patrol, but if it’s not too much trouble to point us in the right direction back to Federation Space, we will expeditiously take the shortest route back to there.”

He had carefully crafted his words in hopes they would appeal to their sense of superiority to make them seem as insignificant as possible as if running across a trader that was merely passing through. Though, at the same time he was also stalling for everyone to get their bearings on their stations to be prepared for anything should it happen.

Maxwell Saunders
AC

Shaoi ben, Captain.” Irritation flickered across her expression, but was quickly masked by innate hostility. She appeared skeptical of Saunders and his intentions, but Romulan paranoia was no less surprising than Klingon brutality. “Rha? You are much too far into Romulan territory to be here by ‘accident.’”

Snowflake approached Commander Saunders and sat next to him. The Romulan woman seemed familiar to the cat as well he turned his head sideways and he looked a the view screen a cruse expression on his face.

Crystal was busy at her station marking sure security was ready to go should the need for combat arise. She had to admit the Romulan was strangely familiar and snowflakes reaction only confirmed her suspicion that They may have met the women before.
Crystal Marine CO

Crystal might recognize the scar along the Riov’s jowel, but anything further was hidden behind a slim helmet braced against her crown.

“ have we met this person before” crystal said confused.

T’Pon would begin whispering in Saunders’ ear.

“I want to bait them into admitting they’re false. We’re nowhere near the Neutral Zone. This is pure harassment.”

Of course, only Saunders could hear this.

T’Pon, Sim XO

Max kept somewhat of a smile on his face for the viewscreen as he tilted his head a little bit closer to T’Pon’s and whispered back, “Commander, we don’t even have our navigational holoscreen up yet, we have no idea where the Captain put us at this moment.” He patiently waited a response from the Romulan on the Warbird. He couldn’t help but admire it in many ways, it was one of his favorite ships to look at if he were being honest with himself.

Maxwell Saunders
AC

“I am aware, however, I don’t think it would be realistic to plop us in the middle of Romulan territory without having gone through the neutral zone. Speaking of which, I’ll check myself.”

T’Pon then swayed to the tactical chief’s position.

“Saunders, give me our ship’s position please.” Only the tactical chief could hear this.

Commander T’Pon, Sim XO

We are 3 kilometers into the Neutral Zone. Position 301 mark 274.” The tactical chief whispered to the (sim) XO.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Sensors would indicate they were within 5 million kilometers of the nearest star system, which included the planet Jojernim; a (ficticious) planet recently annexed from the Federation by the Star Empire. LCARS logs would confirm.

“Should I put up the shields until we determine what they are up to?” The Tactical Chief asked?
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“No, tactical chief, that might seem like an escalation… though make sure to have your hand next to the shield control in case they start firing.”

T’Pon, Sim XO

“Understood, Maam. Just give me the word.”
Lt.Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Lt. K’Vexx readied his hands at the controls of the pilot seat, awaiting the command to begin evasive maneuvers…

-Lt. K’Vexx, CoS

“Shit,” T’Pon whispered to herself as the tactical chief told her their real position.

T’Pon then walked over to the captain and then whispered in his ear: “We’re in the neutral zone. Let’s cook up a convenient excuse not to get blasted out of existence or start a major war.”

Commander T’Pon, Sim XO

“Shall I prepare the ship for warp or evasive maneuvers?” K’Vexx asked, as the reality of their simulation started to dawn on him…

-Lt. K’Vexx, CoS

Heather had silently listened to everything going on and had to resist rolling her eyes. There were too many things going on at once. too many suggestions and not enough facts going on. However, she had nothing to add at the moment.

Heather Argeneau, CE

“If we don’t want to raise shields yet, how about going to yellow alert until we determine their intentions?”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
Tactical Chief

OOC: We should already be at yellow alert, but just for reference this will probably be a little slower than usual, our amazing Captain and GM has a bit much going on at the moment and she’ll post when she can, we’ll keep you guys updated for now! I’ll try to see if we can get something set up on the side so we can have something rolling in the mean time :)

-Mike

“Sorry, my controls were working improperly, it’s fixed now. We are on yellow alert.” Lt. Saunders said, a little perplexed that he did not realize yellow alert was already displayed.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
Tactical Chief

“ snowflake” crystal called. The cat turned and looked at her. She gestured at Saunders. The cat got up and walked over to Saunders and sniffed him. Crystal had sent the car to make sure Saunders was ok. She often sent that to check on her Marine’s when she was unable to deal check herself. She could not leave her post and and did not trust the chief tactical officer to tell her the truth.
Crystal marine CO

As the cat approached Saunders, he bent down to pet him. The tactical chief wondered if the marine Co was suspicious of who Bill Saunders really was.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
Tactical chief
Simulation

Crystal was indeed suspicious of Saunders but she was careful of most newcomers.

OOC: I have put in a few extra notes, and once those are responded to, we can get this thing back on the road! Thank you all for keeping up the great work. I know it’s difficult when your Storyteller isn’t helping the sim along, so bravo to you guys! - Trin

Heather watched Crystal move from her mistress to Saunders side and couldn’t help the smirk. though why the captain allowed that feline on the bridge was beyond Heather. Most would have demanded the beast removed for worry that it would distract his or her officers.

Heather Argeneau, CE

After seeing the LCARS reports, executive officer T’Pon proceeded to attempt to cook up a convenient excuse to get the Romulans off their backs. Walking over to the commanding officer, she said:

“Sir, it appears we are close to a star system recently annexed by the Romulans. It used to be ours. We could invent the fact our navigation logs have not been updated and ask politely to be escorted to the closest Federation star system.”

Commander T’Pon, Sim XO

“Cmdr., the Romulans have not put their weapons up yet, but sensors indicates their shields are flunctuating.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Snowflake satisfied that Saunders was ok returned to crystals side.
Crystal marine CO
“Now remember Snowflake, it’s our secret, so don’t tell anyone, OK? Good boy.” Saunders said as the cat returned to Crystal and Saunders returned to his console.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical chief

Bump to not lose

“Can someone get that cat off the bridge please? There’s no reason why a pet should be here.”

Commander T’Pon, Sim XO

Heather looked to snowflake then to Crystal wondering how they would respond. She managed to refrain from growling at the feline.

Heather Argeneau, CE

Snowflake uttered a working growl. “ He is not going anywhere Commander he is a valued member of my team. You may not know how to speak his language but I do. Did any of you fine something Familiar about that Romulan Commander snowflake and I sure did.” Crystal growled. She dropped her ears back against her head. This would be one fight with the Marine CO that was not worth having. Not to mention the cat had always been allowed on the beige of this ship.
Crystal marine CO

IOC: miner edit

“If Snowflake going to be a valuable member of your team, Major, than please keep the cat from walking across the bridge aimlessly. As you can see, we’re in the middle of a potential international incident as we speak.”

Commander T’Pon, Sim XO

“ commander he has not done anything aimlessly . He moved to get a better look at the Romulan commander he recognized something about her, and I asked him to check on Commander Saunders, it seemed odd that he did not know that we were at yellow alert.” Crust growled. She was becoming frustrated with T’Pon.
Crystal marine CO

“Commander, as the Tactical Officer, I did check the credentials of the cat, and it is in perfect order. Although I don’t know why he is allowed to be on the bridge, he has been granted permission to be here.” Saunders said to the (sim) XO.

Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Heather watched from where she stood, she also did not understand how a cat could be part of a team. They weren’t exactly able to relate what they were seeing to more than the one person it seems so what was the point of it? It seemed like more of a risk than an asset, but Heather kept her opinion to herself.

Heather Argeneau, CE

“Alright people. Can we keep color commentary to an absolute minimum, please? As you can see, we have a Romulan military officer interrogating us about our presence here and we’re talking about… a cat.”

T’Pon looked over the the Romulan officer with an aura of distress.

“Apologies for my crew. We still need a few moments to verify our position and we will get back to you.”

Commander T’Pon, Sim XO

“I’m working on verifying our position, but it looks like we’re a long way from our previous location.” The Chief said.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“I don’t know how we got here, but we’re in the middle of the Romulan Empire. Shields up.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“Can anybody at the navigation console find out how the bloody hell we got here please before we anger this nice Romulan here?”

Cmdr. T’Pon
(SIM) Executive Officer

“I believe to goal is to get out of Romulan space, also we are in her space she Already not happy. Why don’t we just apologize and get out of her” crystal said.

Crystal marine CO

“I don’t think Romulans accepts apologies. They may treat it as a sign of aggression.” Saunders interjected.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“ anyone on this ship a trained diplomat. I believe our goal is to avoid a fire fight. They aren’t Klingon firing a shot across there bow wont do any good” crystal said.

“So far their weapons are not on line. But I don’t think that’s going to last long.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Heather Arched one brow at the officers here and was starting to wonder how we’ve ever survived since there seemed to be no organization and waited to hear what the helm officer had to say about navigations.

Heather Argeneau, CE

Crystal marine CO

“I am the closest thing to a diplomat on this ship Major given my training as a legal mediator. So, I’ll lead here.”

Pause. Afterwards, she would get near the bridge staff to the point the Romulan officer couldn’t overhear.

“Alright, someone get us our position and our previous route from the navigation console please. We need this to invent how we got here. Tell it to me out loud. When that is done, can whoever is at the helm plot a course out of here that is as fast as can be, jack it into some sort of automatic plotting system, and get ready to hit it whenever the shots start flying. Saunders, get the shields up to maximum so that if that start firing we have some sort of plausible deniability. Turn off all the weapons systems until further notice. We won’t be needing them Execute. Now.”

Cmdr. T’Pon
(SIM) Acting CO (at least seemingly)

“All weapons are off line. Shields are at maximum strength.” Saunders said. “We better come up with a plausible reason for us being here.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“T’Pon, why do you want all weapon systems turned off? Wouldn’t that make us defenseless?” Saunders asked.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Heather rubbed her forehead, she had lost count of how many times someone has asked for their location she was starting to wonder if she could get away with leaving without being noticed since this was a simulation that seemed to be going in circles. not to mention she had a problem in Engineering that wasn’t being handled while they were talking themselves into circles on the holodeck. How was it that this ship had survived so long if this was any indication as to how things worked.

Heather Argeneau, CE

“T’Pon, all weapons are off line, but as I am the Tactical Chief, I would advice against it. This tactic would put us in jeopardy.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“No it wouldn’t, commander Saunders. If we start shooting, they’ll see that as a provocation and call in back up, which would annihilate us. Any attempt to show force will get us into an even bigger problem. The helm will plot us a course out of here and we we can out run them.”

She’d then turn to the navigation console.

“Can someone please get us our location? Within the next century, preferably?”

Commander T’Pon
(SIM) Executive Officer

“Understood T’Pon. As long as the shields hold, we should be safe for the moment.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Heather just blinked at this exchange really.

Heather Argeneau, CE

Seeing none, T’Pon hauled herself over the the navigation console and proceeded to investigate the following:

1) Where was the ship?

2) What was the course they took for a day up to what point in time they were?

3) What recent territorial changes had occurred they might not be aware of.

4) Any potential excuse they could have to get out.

Commander T’Pon
(SIM) De Facto Commanding Officer

Crystal snickered trying to hid it. she found T’Pon to be very entertaining.
Crystal marine CO

OOC: I’m sorry about the short post it’s midterms.
ChristinaCrafford

OOC: T’Pon was not being emotional. Imagine her comment said perfectly deadpan.

Luke P

OOC: oh that makes more Sense lol. I fixed it I don’t the T’Pon will be happy with crystal ether way though.
Christina

“What do we know about this area of space?” Saunders said. “What does navigation say where we are? Does anyone know?”

Lt.Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Heather started to wonder how long this simulation was supposed to take she had to keep an eye on Fitzgerald in Engineering and this wasn’t helping her towards that end. Again Heather was left to wonder if she could slip out unnoticed.

Heather Argeneau, CE

“T’Pon, we have to get out of here. We have no way of knowing where we are, or anything about this area of space. My sensors indicate we may be in trouble. What are your orders, sir!” Saunders said. He was angry that T’Pon got the ship in this situation.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“Ma’am, Saunders.”

The tactical chief was right. It would take too long to get all that information distributed. T’Pon realized it would be much more simple to just cook up a lie and get the Romulans off their back with ease. Before that, she moved over to Saunders. Inaudibly to the Romulan warbird commander, she said:

“Shields to be held at maximum and weapons systems to be held offline until further notice. We’re getting out of here.”

She moved over to the helmsman (whoever that might be) and said, with the same inaudibility to the Romulan:

“Plot the quickest course out of here into Federation space you can at the fastest warp you can. Program it into auto-pilot. On my signal, engage.”

After she was done, she’d face the Romulan warbird commander.

“Hail, commander. It appears we’ve gotten lost and our navigation sensors had a malfunction. Said malfunction is repaired now. May we have your permission to exit safely with the assurance of not being harmed?”

Commander T’Pon
(SIM) Acting Commanding Officer

“Sorry Ma’am. The shields are at maximum and all weapons are still off line, Ma’am. I’m putting the ship on yellow alert until we get out of here. I don’t trust that Romulan. Their weapons are active, they may fire at any time. Something suspecious about them. You better know what you’re doing, T’Pon.” Saunders said. Saunders was worried that T’Pon did not know how to rectify this mess we were in. Saunders was thinking {T’Pon was not a good choice to be a CO of the ship}.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“No color commentary Saunders. I know what I’m doing.”

Commander T’Pon
(SIM) Acting Commanding Officer

“Understood Ma’am. I’m sorry. What is your plan to get out of here.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“I’ll keep that to myself for now, Saunders.”

Commander T’Pon
(SIM) Acting CO

“What are we going to do, Ma’am? You may have put this ship in a compromising position. The Romulans won’t let us just leave and forget about it.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saumders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“Saunders, I told you to stop with the color commentary. I am perfectly aware as to what position we are in. Now let’s let the Romulan madam tell us what she thinks. Keep shields at maximum just in case.”

Commander T’Pon
(SIM) Acting CO

“Shields are still at maximum, Cmdr.” Saunders said as he double checked the shield controls. “As for your so called ‘color commentary’, I am just reminding you of the safety of this ship.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief
“Safety protocols indicate we should not confront any potential enemy without weapons armed. As the Tactical Chief, I recommend it. At least put the ship on red alert until we know what they want.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“Commander T’Pon, The safety of this ship is my priority. I need to know what you are planning. The Romulans has been our enemies for years and they will not accept any apologies. You got us in this mess, how are you gonna get us out of here!” Saunders said, sounding angry about this situation.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“A moment please, madam Romulan. One of my crew members is acting illogically.”

T’Pon moved over to Saunders’ station. She began talking inaudibly to anyone but Saunders.

“I’d appreciate a little bit of subtlety, Saunders. Screaming across a bridge when I’m discussing with a foreign representative is not professional. My order to lower weapons systems is meant to convince the Romulan that we mean now harm and to use that as a sign of good faith. If they start firing and my excuse holds (which it will), we’ll have to upper hand during arbitration if this becomes an international incident. While we’re on that topic, find a way to immediately slap the weapons systems online if push comes to shove… subtly. Now please stop talking and do as I tell you or I’ll have you removed from the bridge. What you just did was unintelligent.”

“Yes Commander. Weapons will remain offline and shields are at maximum. I will reroute weapons to my station in case we need it. It will take a few minutes to reconfigure the system. Just give me the word.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Heather stared slackjawed at the exchange. Shaking her head she looked to the door wondering if she could slip out and return to Engineering or even her quarters for a bite to eat she was starting to feel hunger pains and there were too many bodies in this holodeck now.

Heather Argeneau, CE

After Heather looked at the exchange with the same kind of amazement at the stupidity as T’Pon did (albeit internally), the commander would return to face the Romulan warbird captain.

“Excuse the aggressive actions of my tactical officer, Romulan. As I was saying, we have lost our way and mean no harm. Our weapons systems are inactive and we are non-belligerent. Please excuse our lack of direction and grant us the right to return to Federation space unharmed.”

Commander T’Pon
(SIM) Inmate In Charge Of Running The Asylum

Saunders was nervous about the situation. His finger was on the weapons button in case something went wrong. He knew the shields were going to hold, but Saunders did not want this to escalate to a fight.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

OOC: Where exactly was this going again? because I think we lost the plot here or the point or whatever but damn I’m surprised this ship hasn’t been blown out of the waters yet?

IC: Heather wasn’t thinking of the exchange as one-sided. she was surprised by both Lt.Cmdr Saunders and Cmdr T’Pon were both in the wrong on the situation that was currently going on. She shook her head again and turned away from the Cmdr.

Heather Argeneau

Saunders was angry on how T’Pon was handling this situation. He was wondering on how T’pon would get us out of this situation.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
Tactical Chief

As the Romulan did not seem to respond, T’Pon would interject.

“Madam warbird commander, if you’ll excuse us, we’ll be leaving. It’s assumed that, given we’ve gotten lost, this situation can be rectified by us leaving.”

She’d then lean over at Saunders and whisper:

“Saunders, get us out of here as soon as I tell you.”

T’Pon
(SIM) Acting CO

“Understood Ma’am. Ready when you give the word.”
Lt. Cmdr Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Heather managed to keep her jaw from dropping in surprise.

Heather Argeneau, CE

“I’ll give you warp seven as soon as you tell me. All engines are at full power.” Saunders said.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“All systems are functioning at normal parameters. We can go to warp 3 at a moments notice.” Saunders exclaimed.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“Yes, Engineering is green the core is ready whenever the order is given.” Heather agreed with Lt. Cmdr Saunders as she managed to finally get over her shock at what was going on with this crew.

Heather Argeneau, CE

“So, madam Romulan, we are ready to leave. You only need to give us permission!”

Commander T’Pon
(SIM) Acting CO

Saunders waited patiently for the signal. His finger just touching the button to propel the ship to Warp 3. “Everything is ready Commander!” Saunders said nervously.
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Heather waited with a scowl but kept her mouth shut.

Heather Argeneau, CE

“Actually, yack it up to maximum warp, Saunders. Give the Romulan commander a twenty count before you hit it.”

Commander T’Pon
(SIM) Acting CO

“OK Commander, You’ll get maximum warp after a 20 second count down.” Saunders said. “Just give me the word.”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

Bump to not lose

“What are you orders now Commander (T’Pon).”
Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“Madam Romulan, since we haven’t gotten a response, we’ll just assume we can leave.”

She’d then turn to Saunders.

“Hit it Saunders. Maximum warp.”

Commander T’Pon
(SIM) Acting CO

“Aye Commander, full speed ahead maximum warp.”

Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“Heading 405 by 139, they won’t catch up to us!”

Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“Keep it up Saunders. We can refuel in Federation space, so that’s not a problem.”

T’Pon would pause and think. After about five seconds, she’d sit down, and then look over her shoulder at Saunders.

“We’re going to have to explain ourselves to Starfleet. And to whatever diplomatic snafu is awaiting us. Any ideas on how to met that, Saunders?”

Commander T’Pon
(SIM) Acting CO

“We could say that we encountered a singularity that confused our sensors, and by the time we figured it out, we were in Romulan territory.”

Lt. Cmdr. Saunders
(SIM) Tactical Chief

“What do you think?”
