After gathering together and donning their EV suits, the landing party transported over in two waves. The Security team first, followed by the engineering team once the LZ was secure.

Materializing in the darkened interior, it took Ander’s eyes several moments to adjust to his new surroundings. He glanced down at his tricorder looking for life signs, heat, or energy signatures.

The station was cold, as it’s environmental controls had been turned off. Also dark. Through the lights on their suits the teams could see they were on a common area, a promenade so to say. Offices and other areas were open to this main area, and it looked like this was a more commercial center than a purely military installation. On an upper deck there seemed to be viewports, as faint light from the orbiting star filtered through.

Ander switched his tricorder to a map view of the station that the ship’s sensors had generated for them. He turned to the away team.
“It will be best if we split into two teams,” Ander said. He pointed to two engineers and two security officers, “Lieutenant Patterson will take Gamma team and search the upper levels including operations.” He motioned to the others. “Delta team will accompany me to the lower levels, including the station’s engineering section. Our objective should be to try to download the station’s logs. One of us should be able to do that from either of those locations. Secondary objective is to determine what happened here. Why were the Bat’Leth attacking their own station? While I hope the logs will contain the answer, keep your eyes open for anything that seems out of place or unusual. We’ll maintain open commlinks and keep our tricorders linked to the Curie’s computers. Let’s not stay around here too long,” he said with a slight hint of nervousness. The station was unsettling. “Let’s move out,” he said. The two security officers exchanged hand signals and one of them took point, the other taking up the rear. The high powered lights on their rifles pierced the darkness and swept regularly around as the engineers scanned and documented what they found.
“Sir, there’s something like a jefferies tube ahead.”
“Let’s go,” Ander replied.
“Hold!” the security officer in point said as he rised his hand. His partner quickly walked passed the engineers and pressed himself to the opposite wall of the corridor junction. Using hand signals point counted and then both stepped out, beaming their bright lights down opposite directions. Ander felt himself tense.
“Clear!”
“Clear!”
Breathing a sigh of relief, Ander and the engineers stepped into the junction and tried to open the access panel.

Garay, CE

The access panel opened without much effort. The jefferies tube seemed to go down. It was an access with a step ladder attached. Clearly an access to the inner components of the station. Also, a way to get around when the power is off.

Once there was the transporter, Zanderia shook her head at the feeling of it before pulling out her tricorder to scan for anything Of use. She looked up”All right. Gamma On me. Let’s take it nice and easy.” she lead them up to the ladder to go up and scope things out. Using her senses and the tricorder to look for things out of the ordinary.

Patterson, Medical

Using ladders and other non-powered means to access the individual decks, each of the teams were able to reach their intended destinations. It was a slow process with the Security teams taking point, and looking for a threat. Along the way they found no additional life signs, or energy signatures.

Once in Engineering, Garay’s team would see that the main power generation system had been simply shut down.

Patterson’s team would find the Operations Deck similarly vacant. Nothing really out of place, just shut down.
