COS meets her Security team.

Posted by Lieutenant Junior Grade Veena (COS/Captain’s Girl) in COS meets her Security ream.
Veena was ready early to get ajump on the day. Her uniform was the male version still as the way her master had given her permission to wear the female version had
Rather implied he disliked the idea. Her tunic was tight since she was in the venacular rather well endowed. The trousers were uncomfortabley tight on the hips and while she could get used to them it was only the second time she had worn anything but a skirt so it still felt alien to her. She had exchanged the flat boots for a more practical low heeled boot as she was more used to heels or going barefoot . Since she was security she had a type 2 hand phaser as well as the strap on thigh knife. She had made no noise till she left the Cabin so as not to wake the captain. She had seemingly succeeded.
.
The security office was never empty of course so she couldn’t avoid attention and just slip into her office. The idea that she had a office was a bit of a shock, and she couldn’t help but smile at the idea. She was already getting incredulous stares from the crew she passed just for being a armed Orion in a mens uniform. The smile stopped some of the crew in their tracks. She however didn’t stop till she entered the security station.

The outer office of the security complex was a reception area with a security officer stationed at a desk to greet visitors and a second officer guarding a door that led further into the complex. It was a small rectangular room with austere seating for six people in case there was need. The ship being newly crommisioned and the crew still boarding had nobody visiting at this time. Both officers were Terran as was to be expected. Empire ships developed factions and cliques. These were often the various departments of the ship, but other factions often developed based on who trusted who. Who had talent and who was ambitious. Security personel were all in the Captain’s faction and were not allowed to belong to any other faction. They kept an eye on every other faction because untill recently one of the fastest ways to be promoted was by assassination. The change was too new for the watch everything mentality to have even begun to fade. The officer at the desk was a Red haired women with unremarkable looks. Normally when a higher ranking officer entered she would of stood. She didn’t. What she did do was sneer and look like there was a bad smell. Veena walked over to the desk. And spoke. “Good morning. As I am sure your aware. The Captain was honored last night at the Imperial Palace. He was I am sure you heard given honors and gifts and the command of this ship by the Empresses command. As a loyal serving security crewmember. You are going to adhere to every tradition , every diecipline, and every command given by the Captain and his appointed officers. Which crewman means that since I have been given the duty of commanding Security for the Captain aS Chief of Security, You crewman are going to either treat me the same as any human officer. Or”, and she left a long dramatic pause hang heavy in the air.
The Male Terran at the door had listened to this and no doubt was aware that non humans who became officers were usually more vicious than human officers had decided to look professional. He actually saluted her with the clenched fist to heart. His apparent acceptance of her right to command broke the woman at the desk out of her air of confident superiority and the woman rose and saluted as well.
At this point Veena handed over the report docket she held to the woman. This had the proper documents that named her as Lt. Jg. Veena Gunnar Chief of Security.
“Now as we understand each other better. You can show me to my Office.”, she had never raised her voice nor even used a harsh tone , or actually spoken a threat. But she had gambled on two things. The Empire training it’s dogs to obey, and that mentioning the Captain would open doors. Because these two now knew clearly that disobeying her meant disrespecting the Captain. They would not dare do that. But these two security personel were hardly a real threat. The four men and two women sub officers were going to be the real problem. She dismissed the woman back to her desk once she had entered her office. Strode around the small room once and sat in what would from now on be her chair. It was bare, utilitarian , and everything smelled new, and it was as close to ownership of anything as she expected to come. She turned on the work station built into the desk and started a search on crewmembers who had previously served together.
