TJ had spent most of the morning fixing various little things around the station. As an engineer this was part of the job. As a designer, TJ hated this part. He tried to design things that wouldn’t need much work. But, that wasn’t always the case. Replicators rarely behaved. That had been a project TJ had wanted to tackle for awhile now. But, that could wait until he was potentially transferred back to R&D.

Rivers recieved a work order on his PADD for a console in the CO’s office not reading data chips correctly…

TJ picked up the order. This was a typical order. Anyone in engineering could do the fix. But, since it was the CO; TJ got the call being the senior person until a chief was named.

TJ came to the entrance of the CO’s office. He pinged the chime to alert the CO of his presence.

Rivers-Ops

“Come in,” called the CO. Ben was sat at his desk. He was getting accustomed to it now - Unlike a Starship’s ready room, which was a private space for the CO, the office on the Starbase would be where Ben would spend most of his time. In an effort to make the space more comfortable he was planning on having a few of his personal belongings around. So far there was only one of his wedding photos. Both of the men in the photo were wearing dress uniforms. Ben’s was uniform trimmed with red denoting the operations position he had held as a Lieutenant. Ben’s husband’s uniform bore security gold and a pips of a lieutenant commander.

“What can I do for you?” he asked.

TJ smiled. “You asked for an engineer.. I have your repair request. What seems to be the problem.”

Rivers-Ops

“There’s no problem with my terminal, but yes, I need an engineer to do something discreet for me,” Ben took out the circular disc that Pikelsimer had handeed him earlier and tossed it to TJ, “I need to know who created that message. When, where, how many edits were made before I recieved and viewed the message.”

This was an interesting request. “And how legal is this? Or should I even ask.”
