Once they had gotten settled into their quarters, Shedda, Maava, and her father made their way down to the opposite side of Deck 6 and to sickbay. The Wolverine was a small ship, but, as Shedda shifted Maava on her hip, she was glad to have the doctor so close, just in case.

Stepping in she smiled at the first medical officer she saw. “We’re here for our onboarding physicals. I also need my psychological check-in as well if I could get that scheduled?”

Noah stepped out from his office. He had been muddling around in the rather small sickbay on the Wolverine and had gotten things mostly in order. He wandered over to greet the commander and her family.

“Commander! Welcome to sickbay,” he nodded to the other medical officer, letting them know he would be taking this one over.

“Thank you, Doctor. I know you’re busy, but I was hoping you had time to see us?” Shedda asked.

He smiled at Shedda’s father and daughter in greeting. He gestured to a pair of biobeds, “Please have a seat. I’ll grab a couple of things and be right over. Commander, after we finish the physicals I’d be happy to get you checked off for your psych check-in as well.”

“That would be great, thank you.” Melul snorted but refrained from making a teasing remark about his daughter’s sanity. Shedda led her father over to the two biobeds. The big man eyed the narrow support structure dubiously and then gingerly sat down. Shedda did the same on the adjacent bed. She turned Maava to face her and made cooing babbling noises at her to keep her attention.

Noah grabbed a medical tricorder and made his way back over to the family or Orions, starting with Melul. He tapped a few commands on the console to bring up what records were available on the man and glanced over those briefly before turning to speak, “I’m just going to run a few quick scans here to make sure everything is in order, I promise nothing should hurt today. While I’m doing that, anything that I should know about that may not be reflected in your records?”

He began with a few passes of the medical tricorder’s wand and checked the results, making sure that the newest data was syncing with the computer’s prior information.
