Approximately one hour after the conference room meeting a console beeped. Stevens (not that one, the other one who hated the Stephens with the ph), woke from a daydream. He’d had the dream again. The one where he ruled over everyone, including the ‘others’. The inferior ones, the scum the dregs of.... ahem… He cleared his throat and concentrated again, shutting out the bad thoughts. He tapped the console and then, eyes wide opened a comm =^= Stevens to Commander Greng. Sir, we’re 5 mins out from our destination.=^= He stated, keeping his voice level and calm, inwardly harbouring foul thoughts and plots, plots within plots. Always plotting. They’ll see. He thought as his eyes narrowed darkly.

GM Budgie

=^=Aye=^= Greng replied and started walking towards the door to the Bridge.

LTCDR Greng

McCallister was at the Tactical station. She has sent the Away Team roster to the XO right after the meeting, and had spent the interim time running scenarios through the computer. Now she was running diagnostics of all weapon and defense systems while the helm readouts and long range scan results played across her iris. As the Commander came onto the bridge, she looked up and said “Away Team on standby, Commander. And shuttles on standby for emergency evac.”

Greng straightened his tunic and walked up to the Lieutenant and said, “Lieutenant McCallister, you will be second in command during this mission. Please ensure everything we need is ready to go.”

LTCDR Greng

“Aye aye, Commander.” McCallister replied. If there was any excitement in her, it didn’t show on her face or in her voice. “Pre-deployment work up is almost complete. Transporter room and shuttle Bay are both standing by, and all stations are ready.”

Hilderbrand was on the bridge and he cleared his throat.
“If you don’t mind me asking. Who is on the way team list?” He asked, anxious to know who was going down.
“T-minus 3 minutes.” Stevens called out.

GM Budgie

Tealor walked in, he had a emergency med kit with him and his gear, all he needed was a weapon and a transport. He seemed focused and ready to tackle what ever came next. His mind probed everyone’s on the bridge.

As his mind went to the Tactical Officer, he discovered something… odd. It was interference, but not like someone who was trained to block such matters. No, this was more like some kind of ‘white noise’. He could sense her, certainly… but anything deeper was just static.

It wasn’t everyday at Alexei got called for an away team. He was acting chief engineer as the previous one was currently kidnapped, so he figured it was going to be the usual during this time, but he was quietly excited as he entered the bridge with a small toolkit. He didn’t know what–if anything–he’d need, so he had just grabbed a bunch of random tools to bring along.

Tealor was in the transporter room waiting now, his gear ready to go, he brought a small medical kit and tricorder along with a phaser we, it was time that they got their friends back.

Greng walked into the transporter room and looked around. He could feel the atmosphere in the room and knew that the next few hours would tell the tale of how this mission would go. As he continued to move and look, he said, “Does everyone have everything that they need for this mission.” and felt for his Mek’leth was situated smartly on his back for easy accessibility. After a moment Greng said, “Lieutenant, is everyone assembled?

LTCDR Greng

Sisnil had arrived a few moments ago, geared up and ready to go.

“Aye” was all Tealor said as he cracked his neck and prepared to mentally shield their arrival. “I’ll take the guards in the imdediate area, you hit the ones on the feeds.” he said
“are we going to try to make them think they don’t see anything? or just knock them out?” he asked not clear what the plan was.

Greng walked around the transporter station to ensure everything looked correct then walked onto the transporter pad.

LTCDR Greng

Hilderbrand had followed everyone down to the transporter room. He geared up on the way, a marine had brought him a phaser rifle. He stepped onto the transporter pad. The e transporter chief waited for everyone to step on the pad and then, beamed them down at a word from the bridge.

In a few seconds the group was in a large-ish room. Fortunately it was empty save for a large table and several chairs. Silence filled the room and for a brief they would think that they would go unnoticed. That was shattered when klaxons began sound. There was a door at the far end of the room. If anyone was scanning with a tricorder they would pick up a group of lifesigns at the door, as if they were going to enter.

GM Budgie

Tealor shook of the sense of the transporter, he hated the stupid things, it always felt like his mind was there before his body. No time for that he sensed the others on the other side of the door and searched their thoughts for intenations on the off chance that it was their crewmates trying to escape.. If they were hostile he attempted to knock them out with his thoughts.

Sisnil appeared in the room. His own ship did not have a transporter, and he was not particularly used to them, but he did not complain. There were active threats incoming. Immediately with his telepathy he reached out, searching thoughts and intentions, anything he could get, hand on his weapon.

~ Zoi

Alexei was not fond of transporters, they made him feel funny, but it was faster than a shuttle, and right now, time mattered. He immediately began not searching for threats like others might, but studying the layout of the room. Looking for points to sabotage if needed, if there were multiple ways out, or if they would have to get out the same way they came in.

There was another door at the far end of the room. That was it as far as entry points.

“Take cover,” Greng said, “We don’t want to blow our cover so soon.”

LTCDR Greng

McCallister stepped to the side, making sure she had a clear line of sight to the door. The phaser rifle she carried was seated comfortably against her shoulder as she aimed the sights at the door, setting thebeam to wide dispersal. She then began looking at the door and cycling through her implant’s optics trying to see what they were up against.

McCallister, CoS / CTO

McCallister could see a small group of 5 Romulans. It looked like they were checking the corridor this room was on. They had rifles at the ready.

McCallister tapped her rifle with her hand loud enough to get everyone’s attention. She thenpointed her index and middle finger at her eyes, held up 5 fingers, pointed at the door, and knelt down; powering the rifle up to wide-awake stun.

Greng moved swiftly to the side of the door in order to surprise anything that came through. With a quick motion he directed one of the security guards that came to the other side and waited.

LTCDR Greng

Tealor took a knee behind cover and aimed at the door. He tried to position himself so he could see both but it was difficult and required him to turn his head a little to see the other door.

The door opened and the 5 Romulans stepped in.

GM Budgie

McCallister thumbed the firing stud on her rifle, sending a wide beam of sickly-blie light right at the door opening.

McCallister, CoS / CTO

Tealor released his weapon on the last target through the door,.

Greng saw each officer fire at a designated enemy. He quickly glanced at the Officer on the other side of the door then quickly hit the back of the closest Romulan to him then watched as the Officer did the same to the one closest to him.

LTCDR Greng

The Romulans were completely surprised as they entered the room. As ready as they were, they weren’t really ready for a direct ambush. Each of them fell with phaser burns covering their bodies. The room was clear within seconds. Looking at the dead Romulans one had a device, like a tricorder, in his belt.

GM Budgie

Tealor was not really a fighter, though he could keep up with it, he preffered healing not hurting. He reached down and grabbed the tri-corder which seemed to be more his speed and examinded it. “Anyone know where we are going??” he asked sharply.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

“Wait. Don’t activate it yet.” McCalister said and moved to his side. Her glowing blue eyes fixed on the device and she began looking at, in, and through it; looking for anything that might indicate it’s function… or it’s use as a booby trap.
