Alita laughed.

“Yeah, I guessed something like that. By the time my brother, Donnie, and my cousin, RJ, were about this age I was already at the academy and didn’t spend a lot of time around younger boys, or whatever.”

Alita stopped talking and began pacing. She still wasn’t quite used to the particular spring in Cel’s legs.

“I swear, if I don’t get an answer from science, medical, or even engineering, in like the next thirty seconds, I’m out of here.” she said attempting to be stern but sounding more like a petulant teenager.

bump

Auzria had chosen to come check in on the.. officers, to see how they were holding up.. but most to make sure they hadn’t destroyed anything in their frustration. Stepping into the holosuite, it didn’t take long for the middle-aged scientist to find her way to the COS and the Ensign. “You lot seem to be doing mighty fine,” Sarcasm dripped from the scientist’s tone. “Heard you commed science and sickbay. Everything all right?”

Ens. Voq

ALita jumped to her feet and glared then couldn’t help but laughed a bit. That must have looked ridiculous in Cel’s young body.

“No. We are most definitely not alright. I want my body back. Let’s start by telling me who’s holding this up? What have you learned so far? Can I do something more than play trains?”

She shot the questions rapid fire not giving a damn about former etiquette.

  • ALita, COS

OOC: I couldn’t find any actual research done on their predicament.. so.. hopefully this is accurate.

IC:

“Geez, you gonna give me a few seconds to answer the first question before shooting me down with a gazzilion others?” Auzria sighed.

“Science has been focussed on dealing with the disease that has come across the crew, specifically for the Commander and Counselor. We haven’t been able to look too much into your predicament, as of right now. However, with the first round of vaccinations underway, we should be able to go full throttle into searching for an answer.”

“If you need something to do, and you will promise not to be pestering, maybe you can help us with figuring out how to help you both..” She glanced between them, “How does that sound.. Alita?” She forced herself to glance at Cel’s body. “It will give you something more to do than play with trains.

Science

Alita didn’t appreciate being called a pest but this wasn’t the time to get into that.

“You’ll find I’m quite useful in the sciences. I studied as a mission officer in Star Fleet which means I’m a Jack of All Trades basically. So yes, let’s get this show on the road.” she said standing to go.

  • Alita

“Good; I’m glad to hear it.” There was a hint of sarcasm behind the scientist’s voice. “What about you?” She glanced at Cel, before looking to the door.

With whoever was coming, Auzria made her way from the holosuite, to one of the main labs. “First off.. how do you feel, being in another body?” She asked, openly, just to get an idea. “Is there anything off? Any pain?”

Ens. Voq
Sci

Alita had followed Azuria quickly not really wanting to be seen in public at that moment.

“It’s all off. Think about it, I’m taller now than I was at this age, I have body parts I don’t know what to do with, my hormones are not my own. I don’t know how boys live through this age. Half the things coming out of my mouth don’t seem to go though that brain to mouth filter you know? And… And… Well I’m just tired of it all.”

Alita had been about to explain that she seemed to be having some kind of empathic awakening due to K’Mar but decided that would be her most precious secret for the moment.

  • Alita, MO/COS

Listening to her explanation, Auzria stepped into the turbolift, ordering it to several decks above. As she waited, she turned to Alita, “Understandable. Your conscience is not accustomed to being in a body much different from its own. You’re bound to experience discomfort and erratic changes in emotion and behaviour.”

As the turbolift doors hissed open, she slid through, heading down the halls to the main science labs. “Do you recall your surroundings before this happened? Did anything seem.. off to you?” She inquired, searching for another scientist or Ahearn, for another mind on the matter.

Alita was glad to follow as she recalled where she had been when this whole mess started.

“We were being beamed off the trade station. Landed on the pad here and everything was all mixed up.” she explained not sounding at all like herself.

  • Alita, MO/COS

Cel, who had been quietly following along nodded in agreement. “We were making our way back to the ship, when were beamed off. When we materilized I was in her body, but much younger, our 12 year old equivilants.”

“I would assume there was some kind of temporal rift– a spacial anomaly which might be responsible for the sudden deaging you experienced.” She nodded, “Here, have a seat over here.” She gestured to two open chairs.

“If there were any scans taken at the point of your rematerialization, we might be able to cross out a few possibilities for what happened.” She turned to the computer, “Computer, what did scans read when Lt. Claire and Ens. Theinna returned from the trade station?”

Ens. Voq
Sci

OOC: They were in space… on a trading outpost.

IC:
“Please re-clarify previous statement,” said the computer, “Please specify the nature of the scans and targeted area of scans within specified time period.”

=^=Ensign McGarvey to Ensign Voq. Please, report to the shuttle bay as per the Captain’s request for you to join me in the shuttle should we have the opportunity to trade with the other ship, making sure the water maintains in uncontaminated state is a high priority for the current situation.=^= He stated calmly and awaited a reply.

“This is getting ridiculous.” Cel muttered, and turned away from the group to pace. He hated this, and just wanted to be back to normal so he could do his job. Either that, or dismissed so he could disappear back into his trains. He felt worthless for years, now, not long after his release, here he was feeling worthless again.

-Cel

Alita wanted to tell Cel to sit down and calm down but the truth was she sensed exactly how he felt and felt the same way.

  • Alita, MO/COS

“Alita,” He paused, “Lieutenant, the ship and crew clearly have their own problems. We can’t rely on them for help. Lets stop BSing around.” He was anxious now he started pacing again. “Lets see if we can fix this ourselves so we can help the crew.”
