“Ensign, keep me posted,” David conceded. “Whenever you need to take a break, just let me know. I can let the XO run the bridge for the next few days.”

“Morris.” Sisnil said. “.....just be careful.” He wasn’t sure why, but he felt like something was off.

It was roughly 10 hours later when Morris received a call from Sickbay asking him to return.

Dradvia was standing beside the biobed, where the readings showed Sisnil was in bad shape. His vitals were not good, erratic, and his pain levels were beyond tolerance. He was arguing with Dradvia over a PaDD she had taken from him.

David was there in less than 5 minutes, every bit the picture of a CO in his uniform appearance. He joined the two at the bedside, glancing over the vitals and readings himself.
