OOC: I give you this farewell with much thought, and a very very heavy heart.

IC: When Alita awoke it was somewhere in the dead of night. She had just been 12 hours on the bridge, whoever was waking her up had better have had a good reason. She swung her legs over her bed and grab the pad that had the blinking annoying message on it. Glancing down her eyes widened and she blinked them again. Sighing she opened the message.

• To: Commander Claire

• Anna’s missing.

That was all the message said. That was all the message really had to say. Alita having run just about every system on the ship knew how to access the comms without even leaving her quarters. It didn’t take long for her to understand what was going on, Liza was beside herself when Alita was finally able to get through to her. Anna was gone from the Betazed Care facility she and Liza had been staying at for quite some time and no one knew how to find her.

20 minutes after Alita had spoken with Liza, she was dressed and ready. The shuttle Bay held a very small shuttle she had been gifted by a very special man. On our way there she didn’t really encounter or seek to encounter anybody. She had already left Commander Morris the message she had been preparing in case something like this happened. They all knew when it came to Anna nothing mattered except keeping her safe. Anna was gone and it wasn’t because she had just wandered off, taken was taken.

“Hey boss, what are you doing up so late? Shouldn’t you be in bed, asleep?” NE Diaz asked from a side corridor.

He had been the one constant in the Wolverine and was the one person likely to run into her when Alita was trying to make a silent getaway. She owed him an explanation.

“Got to go, it seems someone has up and taken my grandmother from her care facility. I don’t think it was an old flame coming to take her for a walk around the park if you get my drift. I don’t think I’ll be back for a long time Diaz. Just move on, you get me?” Said Alita.

IC: Cel was standing by the shuttle when Alita arrived. He had sensed something was wrong. Not because of any security measure or alert that had been triggered, but by the bond they had shared those many missions ago when they had fused and inhabited each others bodies. Seemed like a lifetime ago. Cel couldn’t explain it, but then again, there was a lot of things he couldn’t explain.

He wasn’t in uniform either, He had a simple t-shirt and a pair of sweats, he wasn’t even wearing shoes. He was just waiting for her.
