Ensign Tonav, walked the halls onboard the uss wolverine until he made his way to the chief medical officers office.
“Good morning doctor” he said I’m here for my onboarding physical.

He wasn’t snooping in the CMO’s office.

If anything, he was looking for a specific bit of equipment that he knew would be in the CMO’s office. What he didn’t expect was to find a half Vulcan just stood there. He raised an eyebrow and flicked his eyes towards the science officer. “Can I help you?” he asked softly. “Don’t usually tend to find you science folk here in Sickbay” he added just after.

“Oh no worries” Tonav replied “ I just got posted to this ship, kinda different after living on Vulcan iv with an ambassador for most of my life.” “I’m here for my boarding check in.”

little did Tonav want to show it but you could see in his eyes his sorrow for losing his parents after one of the great starfleet wars

“Boarding check-in?” he asked.

Zachariah dropped something on the Chief Medical Officer’s desk and nodded. “Go grab yourself a bed and give me thirty seconds to knock out this bit of paperwork and I’ll be with you” he nodded out towards general Sickbay.

The young ensign spent a few moments quickly tying up the loose ends of paperwork before heading over to the Vulcan Science Officer. It took a few minutes, but unfortunately he couldn’t just drop one patient to pick up another, that wasn’t how he worked. He liked getting everything done with one patient before moving onto the next, it was the level of care he expected.

“Right. Two quick questions. First off, what’s your name? Second off, anything I need to know about your medical history?”

“ensign Tonav” he replied “nothing to be concerned about but i did grow up on the vulcan homeworld”

“Tonav” he repeated.

“Alright” he said after a few moments, tricorder already in hand. Within moments he was beginning his initial scans, looking for anything out of the ordinary. With his free hand, the doctor was pulling the ensign’s medical records on his PaDD, scanning through them with one eye whilst reading over the scan results with the other. He was quite impressed how good he had gotten at multi-tasking since training as a doctor.

“Welcome to the Wolverine, I suppose”

He cast his eyes over the scans.

“I’m happy” he said finally. “Nothing out the ordinary that’s overly concerning” he continued. “You’ll have to speak to Tessan to book in your physc evaluation, but otherwise I’ll complete the paperwork to sign you off medically as fit”
