David was pacing the bridge, waiting for anything new to come in regarding the planet, when the persistent beeping of an incoming message caught his attention. “Sir?” the NE at operations asked, “incoming message on a Priority 1 channel, marked for command staff only.”

He shook his head to clear the brain fog and looked over to her. “Route it to the ready room, please. NLt Kara, you have the bridge,” he ordered, as he strode over to the aforementioned room and stepped inside. The console opened the communication with a chirp, displaying the typically serious face of Commodore Allen. “Commander,” the flag officer stated. “You are hereby ordered to transfer all data and materials relating to Myst and the Pythagoras to the USS Triumphant upon its arrival, and return to Starbase 277 immediately thereafter. I have immediate transfer orders for several personnel, including Captain Erin. The Triumphant is expected to arrive with in the hour. Please report when underway. Understood?”

David nodded, slightly shaken by the Commodore’s abruptness, though the man was always like that. “Yes, sir,” he agreed. “Wolverine out.” As the screen went black, he sent out a message to the department heads to order them to compile their data regarding the current mission, followed by a second one to the personnel with transfers. That accomplished, he crossed back out of the ready room and across to the turbolift, having elected to personally inform sickbay they needed to prep their guests and patients for transfer, and deliver the transfer orders for Dr. Garcia himself.
