“Come on,” Zekk grunted as he dragged the large wheeled suitcase with both hands along the Wolverine’s corridors towards his assigned quarters with difficulty. The wheels were both buckled from whatever was inside the case, and the duffle bag hung limply beside it. “Stupid wheels… not worth the latinum! I’ll make sure to file a complaint to the trading authorities on that station, perhaps earn back the price plus an inconvenience settlement… yes, a small profit but still profit,” he continued, pulling it backwards with little care for what was behind him as his short figure trudged along towards his final destination for deck 3 quarters.

“Need some help, petty officer?” David’s warm voice came from behind him. “I can take one of those bags, if you’d like. I’m no security officer, but I still think I can carry some supplies.” He extended a hand to accept one of Zekk’s bags.

“You’re our new Operations Specialist, right? Petty officer…” he snapped a couple times, searching his memory for the name, “Zekk?”

“Zekk, Son of Quork, there’s nothing I can’t acquire and no ship I can’t fly!” he declared proudly, though his confidence faltered as his suitcase landed with a resounding thud. “Urgh, how much do you require for your services, Commander?” he inquired, casting a weary glance back at his overwhelmingly heavy personal belongings.

David laughed. “Nothing, I was just in the area and thought I’d help!” He picked up the dropped bag and continued along the hall with Zekk, struggling some but able to hold it with both hands. “How long have you been in Starfleet?” he inquired conversationally.
