David strolled down the corridor towards the lab, his new red-shouldered uniform neatly pressed. While the promotion had been rather unexpected, the newly-minted XO fully intended to do well in the position. Which had led him to the sciences corridor to speak to the CSO, the first stop on his rounds through the Wolverine to check in with each department. He stepped into the doorway of the lab and scanned the room, eventually finding the woman he was looking for and catching her eye. “Ah, Lieutenant Spencer,” David called over the ambient noise of the science department going about their work, “do you have a few minutes?”
