Raising her eyebrows, Ayla swiftly moved over the edge and landed on the tight awning, sliding carefully off of the end and dropping to the ground in a crouch. She simply looked back at him to see his reaction and how quickly it took him to move to join her.

Remy smiled as Ayla landed gracefully on the cobblestone road. He turned his back to the edge and let himself fall to the awning below. The awning was tight enough to bounce Remy back into the air where he performed a back flip and landed as gracefully next her.
“Showoff,” she teased.
“I canno’ let you outdo me at my own game, cher.”
Ayla just chuckled, but she was enjoying the slight edge of competition between them. It was nice to be in an entirely different environment where they could see off sides of themselves they weren’t normally able to. She heartily approved of his choice of program.
He grinned and grabbed her hand as they made their way across the street to the Pub. The doors opened to reveal a quaint setting: tables and chairs scattered about the room. To the right was a small stage upon which sat a minstrel strumming a lute and singing about brave knights slaying dragons.
It was certainly a charming sort of place and Ayla took in the details as best she could, focusing more on the people and their behaviour. Since this was the holodeck, the only person her empathy would be useful with was Remy. She’d need to rely on her observational and people skills heavily here.
To the left were a few booths for more private conversations among the clientele. Behind the booths were a set of stairs leading to the buildings second floor and guest rooms.
Straight across from the door was the bar at which sat a few patrons. The man behind the bar paid no attention to Remy and Ayla as they entered, but the young blonde barmaid at the end exploded with excitement. Her eyes grew wide and her smile easily conveyed her jou at seeing Remy step in.
“REMY!!!!!” she called out and bolted toward the Cajun. When she was close enough, she jumped and wrapped her arms around his neck, and legs around his waist. Before he could react, Remy was being smothered in kisses from the girl.
Remy could feel his cheek begin to turn a darker shade of red as the kisses continued and he tried to avoid them. “Tika. . . wait, . .. . stop. . . . please. . . Tika. . . ” he sputtered between kisses.
The young girl, to her credit, didn’t let Remy’s actions deter her. The only only stopped long enough for her to inundate him with questions. “Where have you been (smooch)? When did you get back (smooch)? I’ve misseed you so much (smack)!! It’s been too long (smack). Have you missed me (kiss, kiss)?”

It was one main difference between her and lover: Ayla was not one who felt jealously. If her experiences on the Saracen taught her anything, it was that the greatest gift you could give another and yourself was the freedom to love. So the barmaid’s actions produced nothing more than amusement. “Oh, I’m sure he missed you terribly,” Ayla said with a grin. Just because she wasn’t jealous, didn’t mean she couldn’t have some fun.

When Tika realized Remy was returning her kisses in earnest, she stopped and dropped to the ground. She looked at Remy and then turned her gaze to Ayla as realization set in. “Remy, aren’t you going to introduce me to your . . .friend?”
“Computer, pause program.” Immediately, the scene froze at Remy’s command. He turned toward Ayla, his cheeks flush with red. “Cher, I am sorry. I ‘ad completely forgotten about dat part of the program. De las’ time I ran it was waaaaay before I ever met you and. . . .” He paused and noticed the grin on her face.
“You enjoyed seeine me flustered, didn’ you?”
