James took the turbolift to the cns’s door ,had to check to see if it was the right door . Checked the shine on his boots, then rang the chime.

“Come in!” came a soft, warm voice from the other side of the door. As James stepped inside, David’s eyes flicked to above the security officer’s head and the counselor shouted “Heads!”, rolling to his feet from the floor and starting to run towards James.

James heard the counselor and came in, he moved out of David’s way he see him start to run.

A pile of boxes stacked next to the door came tumbling down next to where the security officer had been standing. David caught the last one, putting it back atop the now significantly shorter stack, and quickly made another stack next to it of the ones that had fallen. He turned back to James. “Sorry about that! I assume you’re here for an appointment?” He walked over to a disorganized stack of PADDs and pulled one out, scrolling through a list. “Found you, assuming you’re Ensign Black. Why don’t you sit down,” he pulled out the chair opposite his desk, “and we’ll chat without boxes trying to kill us. Anything from the replicator?”
