Basil’s eyes grew wide at the readings, “Sir, I believe the probe has located the ship we saw on our sensors. It’s Jem’Hadar, sir.” Basil paused to swallow before continuing, “They seem to be caught in a fissure within the planetoid and there are no power signatures coming from it.” Basil’s eyes hardened as he turned to the viewer. Evidence of Romulans on the Pythagoras, the remnants of a possible skirmish between the Wis and Kein, with both ships still in the area, and now the Dominion. What had they gotten themselves into?

Petty Officer Baker (Tac/Spec)

“This doesn’t make any sense....” Captain Erin murmured to himself, “None of it does.” Bryson tapped on the armrest of his chair for a few moments, then stood up. “Petty Officer Baker, take us to yellow alert and reach out to the away team on the Pythagoras for an update.” The CO made his way over to the science station and hovered over the scans from the probe as a thought of a plan.

Basil nodded and did as he was told. He brought the ship to Yellow Alert and then hailed the away team on the Pythagoras. =^=Wolverine to LT. Commander Claire. Requesting status update.=^=

Closer up focus on the nose of the ship showed pitting along their hull. Evidently the metal alloys making it up was not entirely immune to the spatial effects that caused breakdown in metallic compounds. A close up analysis would be required to determine what happened and why it was there.

The turbolift doors opened and T’Mor had a certain sense of déjà vu coming back up onto the bridge.

“Captain,” she announced shortly after the doors opened. Stepping down to meet Erin where he stood on the bridge, she walked with more urgency than before.

Though uncertain of what happened herself, she attempted to relay the most important details,

“The container displayed some very, interesting behavior. The data at first seemed inaccessible. However, by some means as of yet unknown, the data was automatically transferred to the Holosuite computers.”

“The holo…?” Bryson said turning away from the scans received from the Dominion ship, “This day keeps on getting odd every minute.” The Captain quickly turned to Baker. =^= Ensign Black and Petty Officer Osa to the Bridge, please. =^= He called out over the ship’s PA system. “Baker, when Ensign Black arrives, I need the both of you to take a shuttle over to the Jem’Hadar ship for a close-up observation.” Captain Erin then turned back to Ensign T’Mor. “Ensign, when Osa arrives, head down to the Holosuite and figure out what’s going on”.

“Any questions?” The CO asked the two standing before him.

Basil nodded, “Aye sir.” He began to get ready to take black on the away mission.

Osa’s voice came over the communicator. =^=On my way.=^= He dropped what he was doing and began heading to the bridge.

James got off the turbo lift, and stood at attention. “James black reporting for duty six.”

OOC: Threads for the holosuite and shuttlebay have been created. The CO should be the only one on the bridge for now.

IC: =^=Commander Claire, please return as soon as possible, =^= Captain Erin called out once the teams left the Bridge, =^= Once get back head up to the Bridge and give me an update on what was found. =^=

Bryson still hadn’t heard any news from the ground, and couldn’t risk sending another team down just yet. For now, they had to investigate the Jem’Hadar ship and whatever was sent to the Holosuite.

Baker hit the comm on the shuttle to patch them to the bridge. =^=Baker to bridge, we’re ready to launch.=^=

Five minutes later Alita came onto the bridge. She slipped into her station and began analyzing her findings.

“So nice for you to join us, Commander,” Bryson said after a few quiet moments. “Is Lieutenant Morris going to present your findings, or did you not find anything related to the Romulan?” The CO asked, somewhat peeved that the COS came aboard without as much as a hello.

OOC: I am not sure it happened and I do not have time to scan all the threads. I asked that the info we discovered in the Engineering thread was updated to the Bridge. I just got released from the Hospital because the staph infection I had 2 months ago apparently was resistant and it was a no fun 5 days on treatment. Anyway I will update here and if it was done then pls excuse me.

Mikel returned to the Bridge.

“Captain the device or artifact that you requested was tested in the hyper chamber which is isolated an segregated from ships systems and well as environment. However it was able to use a coms channel that stays open for ship to ship communications, one which we keep open, and connect to that when it activated. I am afraid its in the ships system by now. Unknown what it can do but I think we can probably guess from what we have seen. It is inert now.” Petrov updated.

“Is there any way we can isolate it? Maybe purge it from the ship’s computer?” Bryson asked as he rubbed his eye in frustration. “Romulans, Jem’hadar, and now this,” The Captain groaned, “T’Mor and Osa are down in the holosuite, from what she’s gathered that’s where the thing is concentrated…”

Alita looked up at the Captain.

“I found Romulan DNA on a bio-bed. I’ve already transmitted the logs to you and I’m not certain if Morris is going to present his findings here or from sick bay. I will give you the rest of my results as soon as I’ve analyzed them.” she said looking back down.

It was amazing. No matter what shape, size, or gender they were, Captains always expected those reports to be at the ready as soon as one stepped foot on the bridge. Did they think you simply compiled them in mid transport? Still, she and Bryson went back quite a ways so Alita wouldn’t hold a grudge.

“So, Romulan DNA found, but no Romulan found?” Captain Erin asked. If that were the case, then it could be down on the planet with the Wolverine’s away team.

“Correct, sir,” David said, stepping off the turbolift a minute after Alita. “There were also logs from three days ago by the Pythagoras’s medical officer, a man by the name of David Bartley. They were treating a Kein female named Weena at the time of the log.”
