David stepped off the transporter pad, eyes bright and face filled with a smile. “Ensign,” he asked the NE at the transporter controls, “would you happen to know where I could find Commander Erin?”
“I believe he’s in the ready room, sir,” NE Bryans replied.
David nodded. “Thank you!” He briskly walked to the turbolift and directed it to the bridge. Upon arrival, he crossed the back of the bridge to the ready room and pressed the panel to request entry. “Sir? Lt. Morris reporting as your new counselor and medic.”
He stood awaiting the response from the acting captain, combing his hand through his hair absentmindedly.

“Lieutenant Morris, nice to meet you,” Bryson said as the doors parted. “We’re going to keep this short, since I have no doubt you are who you say you are, and well....because command sent you here.” Commander Erin explained. The aCO stepped out onto the Bridge and motioned for the Counselor to follow.
David followed close behind the aCO, while keeping a respectful distance.
“While serving in a medic capacity, you’ll take direction from Lieutenant Locksley, our Chief Doctor,” Bryson stated, “Otherwise, you’ll report to me, until we get an XO assigned.”

“Understood,” David said. “Are there any duties you need me to take on right away, sir?” His face moved into a half-smile, obviously fighting it back to maintain the formality of the interaction.

“As a matter of fact, I do,” Commander Erin said as he approached the center chair. “We have a new Ops Specialist who just arrived, Petty Officer Osa.” Bryson handed over the file to the new Petty Officer. “I was going to have Lieutenant Locksley perform the shrink portion, but well, I’m worried they’d come out more troubled than when they arrived,” The aCO laughed, “Unless, you’d prefer more work for yourself later?”

“Now now Commander Erin, Lily’s medicine may be a little more down to earth but she’s good at what she does.” A man who was slightly taller than the Acting Captain stood up out of that center chair, surrendering it to Erin. He wore the blue of Science and the rank of Lieutenant on his collar.

“I say that without a hint of bias, by the way. Welcome to the Wolverine, Lieutenant Morris,” he offered the new crewmember his hand in greeting. “I’m Duncan Rhodes, ships Chief Science Officer and acting Exec.”
