Ekoagroh walked down the hall with a seeming sense of purpose. He was on a mission, and he was going to do it. That mission? Report in for his boarding exams and for duty.

He walked up to the counselor’s door and pressed the chime. Then he waited, admittedly rather impatiently. But he was never a patient person.

From down the hall came the sound of running footfalls. “I’m coming, hold on,” David called to the man standing at his office door. The counselor arrived shortly thereafter, slightly out of breath but with a smile on his face. “Sorry, I just arrived on board and had a meeting with the Commander.” He stepped around the petty officer and pressed the chime, opening his office. “Please, go in.”

The office itself was a standard counselor’s office currently lacking any personal touches from the newly arrived lieutenant. A couple of comfortable slate-grey chairs sat in the corner which David guided Ekoagroh to. “Ignore any boxes scattered around the room, I haven’t had time to unpack yet.”
He sat, pulling out a PADD and scanning it before returning his attention forward.
“Petty Officer Osa, I assume? Tell me about yourself.”
