OCC: Just moving to new thread.

:Celador pulled out his tricorder as he followed the footsteps towards the distance caves. He kept glancing around as he did.

:The scan would show several blips, moving away from the building and if they had enough geographical knowledge they’d know towards the mountains. Some however were slower, as if they were still tracking Cel.

:‘Someone was watching us’ Squared stated as they walked.

:‘Yes, I believe so.’ Cel replied mentally.

   -Cel

Celador looked at his tricorder as it confirmed his suspicions. He closed down his tricodor than knelt down to exam the foot print. He used his finger to very lightly trace the outline of the print. He was looking to see what information he could learn from it, such as species, how heavy they may have been, distance between the prints to indicate how fast they may have been moving or how much equpiment they may have been carrying. All while keeping his ears open to any change in the sound patterns of the area.

-Cel

The prints were circular in nature, and stabbed deeply into the floor like spears. It would be difficult to discern their weight but their size was easily measurable by the width between the many holes left over in a radius around them much like a crabs but much bigger. Cel, if listening would be made away of several clicks as a shadow loomed in the darkness coming toward him.

Celador examined the prints. ‘From the shape of these prints they appear like they are hooved creatures.’ Celador said to squared

‘Yes, and they are getting closer.’ Squared replied thoughtfully.

Celador stood up and took a look around. ‘They seemed to be interested in me. Maybe I can lead them away from the village to more favorable ground’

Squared didn’t say anything so, trying to make as much physical noise as possible, he headed away from the village. He pulled out his tricorder as he walked, both to keep an eye whoever was following him and to look at the terrain.

-Cel

As they moved so did the shadows, the clicks slowly grew louder and quieter as if whatever was stalking them was testing to see how close they could get, eventually one braise scout came close behind Cel from out of the storm and clicked ominously into his ear, the clicking seemed intelligent though as if to send a warning though its tone was sad. The creature as quickly as it appeared behind him once again dissolved into the storm and out of sight.

Cel stopped calmly and turned around to face the storm. He held his hands up in non threatening gesture.

‘Any idea what that was said?” He asked Squared

‘No’ Came the reply.

“My name is Celador.” he said aloud to the storm. As he looked at the storm, it reminded him of when he and Squared first got introduced. “Please, show yourself so we can talk.”

-Cel

From within the storm a large shadow appeared in front of the Starfleet officer. As it came into view the creature stood much taller than he, around 7ft tall. Its exoskeleton a dark red. It torso, if thats what it could be called was joined to a large oval bottom which itself was connected to 4 large pointed legs. For arms it had to scyth like pincers and its eyes luminous green. Beside it were two smaller creatures but equally looked as dangerous.

The creature made several clicking noises and looked squally at Cel.

Celador looked up at the creature, but stood his ground. He lowered his hands slowly to his side, but otherwise made no other movement. He continued to look squarely at the creature.

“My universal translator doesn’t seem to be working.” He commented, continuing to look at the creature.

-Cel

At his works the creature shrieked loudly and closed the gap between them put his face close enough to Cels that he would feel the hot breath against his skin. There were no words exchanged but the creatures eyes looked as if to be speaking. It wasn’t a threatening look, more like one of confusion and fear. The creature edged closer as if it was going to but heads with Cel, if he allowed it.
