: : : Ahh, a vulcan! Sathut’s ears pricked forward in interest as he glanced over the Chief Engineer’s data. =^=Sathut to Lt. Sural, would you come to my Office for an evaluation? At your earliest convenience, of course. I look forward to meeting with you.=^=

: : : With a small sigh at the long list ahead of him, the counselor plugged on.

: : OOC: A glorious classic of posting before reading all the posts … oh well ..
: : IC:
: :
: : This had been an expected call. Sural had found that his ‘counseling’ attempt previously had not been successful in the least. Logically that had been because of the lack of a counselor. He considered that this was something that had been, well, a help to him in being able to devote the time to familiarizing himself with the vast ship that he was now on.
: :
: : =^= I can free up time now =^= he replied. While there was much to do - truly one’s endeavors were never ending upon a ship that was no less than an integrated technologically vast city. However, he wished to have this element off of his agenda at last as it had been persistently migrated from week to week. =^= I will come presently =^= he said, shutting down his station.
: :
: : Not long later he was at the door to the counselors and pressed the chime. It was typically a form of mental sparring with counselors; for whatever reason they tended to try to get him to express his feelings.

:
: OOC: hah, I was about to comment on the other post that I’d already started this! ;D
:
: IC: When Sural pressed the chime, the door opened with a shhk, revealing the counselor’s office behind. The decor of the office was strange, to say the least. Other than the nice, human-sized couch, everything looked like it had been manufactured for a child. The desk was half the height of a normal one, and even the computer looked small. There was a chair opposite to the couch that, strangely, was proportioned for a child but was tall, almost like a high chair. The counselor himself, well…
:
: The man was a feline alien, no more than three feet in height when standing. He wore a sleeveless flowing Turquoise robe, with gold, silver, and reddish embroidery covering it in intricate detail. Honestly he’d rather wear nothing in regards to cloth, but that didn’t seem to be approved of around here. On his ears were a selection of bright golden rings, some with small gems embedded in them. His wrists bore woven rope bracelets, the right arm wrapped from wrist to elbow in braided twine. His right leg, although not visible from where he was seated, bore an intricate silver brace, the metal woven in its own patterns.
:
: The small alien stood and walked to the open door to greet his guest. “Greetings,” he said, his head dipping respectfully. His palm rested on his chest, then extended out in a graceful motion towards the Vulcan. “May your hearts beat strongly, and your love grow wide,” he spoke as he performed the action, then pulled his hand back, folding his hands in front of himself. A greeting that, like the Vulcan Salute, did not require physical contact. Convenient, given the great size differences between the four terrestrial sapient races on the counselor’s home planet.
:
: When he did this, it would be shown to Sural that on his hand he had three fingers and a thumb, as opposed to the regular four and a thumb. “Thank you for coming. Please, take a seat,” he spoke, gesturing to the comfortable looking couch, then moving over to his chair and gracefully leaping into it. He sat like a house cat, his hands folded beneath his chest.

Sural’s brow rose at the view of the furnishings. Quaint. Had he come into the outer room where the children reside during the actual session with a parent? Then he saw the feline. His next first thought was ‘Who would have dressed up a Sehlat to look like that?’ .. then he focused in on the curious little creature. His - he presumed it was a he - was dressed not unlike something out of an ancient Egyptian tale, or so he had made the connection. Whichever he was, he was very formal. Perhaps his culture was formalized in this way not unlike the Andorians that did that ritual to quell their adversarial instincts.
His response to the greeting was to raise his right hand in the Vulcan salute. “Live long and prosper, Counselor.” The title was a bit of a ‘guess’ however he felt that it was statistically likely to be so.
Looking, he chose a ‘seat’ and sat. “It has been quite some time since this vessel has had a counselor. I bid you welcome.”
Sural, CE
