Stone walked into the Starfleet Complex she had never been too impressed with starfleet they seemed to have their own agenda and oly really supported the less conformed colonies when it suited them. Jewel was lost in this place she could never find her way without asking someone for help. She made her way to information desk and flashed her badge.“Chief Inspector Stone” she said letting the person at the desk see her credentials. “I’m here to see Jonathan McBride” she said looking at her notes.

“One moment,” the ensign at the desk said. She referenced her computer and smiled at Stone. Chief Inspector Stone, you’re cleared to see Captain McBride. His yeoman will be out in a moment to escort you after you pass through the security screening,” she said, gesturing to the set of discreet step-through scanners ahead.
Said screening was simply a small walk-though affair monitored by a pair of security officers.
“Thank you” she said as she closed her badge and put it away, putting her shield on her belt.
A moment later, a younger man who at first appeared Human approached in a command red uniform with NCO rank. “Inspector? I’m Yeoman Wallace. Captain McBride is available. If you’ll follow me…” he said with a warm smile.
“Thank you Yeoman,” she said following the man, this place was large, she felt out of place with all the Starfleet personnel around. The sooner she got out of her the better.
As they moved away from the large and open entrance lobby it became evident that the large hexagonal building was constructed around an interior courtyard. Various personnel could be seen at tables and benches, enjoying the fresh air and garden space. Though the walls were made of a fairly standard modular material, the colour was a pale bleu-grey and some sections seemed to have something of a texture to them, lending a cosier feel than standard bulkheads might have. There were art pieces, and scientific images, along with photographs from a good chunk of Oed’s history scattered along.
Veering to the left and down a small corridor, Wallace stopped at the end and knocked on the door and opened it, stepping inside but allowing Stone to pass. “Chief Inspector Stone for you Captain,” he said.
Inside the modest office, McBride was at his corner desk, with one side facing out so he could have guests. Two chairs sat on the other side. Behind him was a stretch of windows along the exterior that wrapped around the other corner and led the eye to a sitting area with a replicator. There was a door just next to the that that led to a small washroom. Adjacent to his desk area was a sitting area comprised of a loveseat and a couple of arm chairs. Sat in the corner was a bookcase with few family photos, a couple trophies from his racing days. Sitting on the top of said bookcase and trailing down was a fake plant.
“Thank you, Delen,” McBride said, flashing a curious smile. Jonathan himself was a tall and lean man with pale blue eyes and a mop of brown hair just tamed into submission enough to meet regulations. He offered a warm smile at the newcomer as he rose to his feet. He had a youthful energy to him as he moved around the desk, though he was clearly experienced enough to have made it to the rank of Captain.
Wallace stepped out, leaving the pair alone. Jonathan gestured to the sitting area. “Inspector, please have a seat. I have to admit you have me curious about whatever security issue has the Oed Police paying a visit.”

Stone was in a dark pant suit with a white collared blouse, the top two buttons opened. A dark blazer the matched the bands and shoes that were stylish but comfortable. She sat down and crossed her legs, one knee on the other. “Thank you Sir” she said as she sat. “I believe I’m bring good news” she said folding her arms in her lap. She pulled up the missing persons report. “You filed this some time ago, ” she said handing him the pad, “We believe we have found her, here on OED we are running genetics but we are confident it’s her.” she said letting it sink in a little. “She’s ok but being cared for at Sacred Heart” she noted and waited for him to respond.

Jonathan blinked. As a seasoned Starfleet officer and former stunt pilot, he was used to being tossed information that he hadn’t been expecting that he then had to do something with. Not unexpectedly, nothing could have prepared him for the information she so casually laid before him. Taking the PADD and glancing at the report he had filed twenty years ago, McBride stared at it a moment before looking back over at Stone.
He opened his mouth to say something and then shook his head, sucking in a breath. “Evelyn is here, on Oed?” That couldn’t be a coincidence. “How? Why? She’s in the hospital? Can I see her?” His mind raced with the multitudes of questions that had run through his brain for years, but more than anything he needed to set eyes on his sister, to prove to himself it was her.
