“Six minutes.” Vonn said. “We are trying to not draw attention. Hand me the chips.” the Breen said and reached back from the front passenger seat where they were seated.

They set each chip in a slot in the left armband of their suit. After a few moments they said “Encrypted. Warehouse should be able to crack it.” and they handed the chips back to Mace. “If the chips are the list… what do we do with him?” Vonn asked, and the helmet indicated the unconscious and more than likely concussed Drez. “He is too dangerous to let out. And prison would just give him a network.”

Vonn, CIA

Alston slipped the chips into an inside pocket of his jacket, and zipped it shut. “That’s a great question, but I know one thing, we aren’t judge, jury and executioner. He’s not going to walk away from all of this though, that’s for sure. I might be able to call in a few favors and make him someone else’s problem. Especially with the information he was getting ready to sell on the open market, I can think of a few people who would want him locked away. In a very deep, dark, cell.”

Eryn’s slider arrived two blocks over and she descended into the bowels of the subterranean levels, accessed a connecting tunnel and then took a lift to a deeper level. She walked in and set a large case on a desk. “Lyssandra’s portable netvork. Have fun boys.” Eryn touched her brow with two fingers, giving a little salute and then made her way up to the main level to watch Drez be brought in.

Eryn

It wasn’t long before their slider came in through a secure entrance, stopping near Eryn. As the door opened, Mace stepped out, the unconscious Drez still laying on the seat.

“Glad to see you made it out. Any luck getting your hands on Lyssandra’s hardware?”

  • Mace

Eryn nodded and shrugged slightly. That wasn’t a particularly difficult situation to exfiltrate. No one was looking for them. Eryn grinned, “I did. It is vith zhe techs in zhe basement. Your sweeper team vas doing a deep search of zhe rooms vhen I left.”

Romanov, Colonial Intelligence Agent

Alston nodded. “Well let’s get Drez on ice before we go see if we have the data we were after.”

Moving around the slider Alston opened the far door and started pulling Drez out. “We were having a debate on how to best detain him, long term. We probably don’t want to keep him here long term, but I was thinking we put a bow on his head and deliver him to the original owners of that data. Thoughts?”

  • Mace

Eryn laughed, “Zhat is above my paygrade. But I vould pay to see zhe faces of Star Fleet Intelligence vhen you very publicly return him and zhe stolen data. Zhat our little backvater did vhat zhey could not.”

Vonn took Drez from Alston and the helmet said “He has warrants in nineteen jurisdictions. When he wakes up, we can start naming them and see which one he is scared of most… then send him there.”

“Tempting. And definitely a good option if what we need is not on this chip.”

Eryn grinned at Vonn, “Oh, let’s do zhat.”

A Tech came up and handed Mace an optical chip. “That’s everything from his network including the pretty cleverly hidden stuff. We are doing a physical scan of the isolinear chips to see if anything was buried at that level now.”

Vonn, CIA

Alston nodded as he took the chip. “Anything that looks like it could be the NOC list that we are looking for?”

As Alston waited for the tech to respond he motioned to two team members dressed in all black tactical gear who were standing next to a second slider.

“Take him down to an isolated holding cell. Around the clock surveillance, and no one approaches or communicates with the prisoner without my permission. Understood?”

With a nod they shifted their weapons as they took the unconscious form of Drez between them and headed for the lift. Two other guards stepped away from where they were waiting and fell in behind them.

That settled, Alston looked back over at the tech. “Tell me we have some good news to take to Mr. Reilly.”

  • Mace

The tech grinned as Mace took the chip. “Oh… oh yeah. There’s a veritable treasure trove of data on there. Names, places, jobs, payments and who gave them… I recognized about a third of the names just as the code scrolled. There’s gonna be a whole lotta people really unhappy if the info gets out, sir.” and he gave Mace an informal salute and turned and walked back towards the Tech lab.

CIA Technician

Eryn grinned gleefully. “I zhink Mr. Reilly vill be happy vith that news.”

Romanov, Colonial Intelligence Agent

Alston bounced the chip in his hand a few times before tucking it into an inside pocket of his coat. “It sure sounds like it. I think it’s time we pay him a visit. And I know I could use a drink, I’m sure he’s got something pretty good in his office.”

As the lift doors open again, Alston stepped towards them. “Whose in?”

  • Mace

Erin shook her head, “Not me. I am going to remove this getup.” She waved a hand at Hycon’s clothes she had ‘borrowed.’ “Lyssandra has gawdy taste. Someone should let zhe CCDA know zhat Drez’ ship von’t be going anyvhere anytime soon.”

Romanov, Colonial Intelligence Agent

“What ship?” Vonn said. The helmet swiveled around to survey the warehouse and, seeing no one within listening distance, the synthesized voice said “I have removed all registrations of the ship from colonial systems and made arraignments to mirror that removal in Federation databases. The thought that a anonymous vessel may come in useful in the future did not escape me. And I am sure that the three of us can agree that such a vessel could be put to good use the fewer individuals that know about it. Director Reilly, I am somewhat certain, would do the same if the opportunity presented itself. The ship itself is powered down in a long-term maintenance hanger.”
