Braak studied the woman for a moment before he continued along in the exhibit. “Well, I do hope you’ll participate. Maybe we can make it collaborative. After all, some people believe only those with obvious talent should do a thing, but I am not one of those. Art is all around us and thus I believe it’s an inherent right of each individual to channel it.”

Karina laughed, “I would not miss it. I just don’t want my lack of skill to be insulting. So as long as that won’t be an issue I will be delighted to participate.”

Enger, DOE

A screeching sound mixed with chirps seemed to equate a more open laugh. “If everyone that attended was already an accomplished artist, what would be the point? Though I suppose there is something to be said for simply sharing and collaborating. I don’t pretend to have extraordinary skills myself. I just believe in honest art. If everyone comes to it with their own brand of honesty, it is god, regardless of what others think.”

“Even amatures can collaborate and experts aren’t experts in everything.” She moved to look at one of the displays, “I look forward to attending and learning. I will send over a list of seminars and offerings. I hope that some will fit into your schedule.”

Enger, DOE

“I’m sure we can work something out. It’s early days and as far as I know the Ambassador isn’t looking to have every moment of every day planned out. It’s not really his style, anyway.” Though there were sure to be many tours and official introductions, Braak just wanted to do these smaller interactions. It suited him better.

Moving along through the exhibit, Sy’rt stopped and let out a trill. “It’s interesting to think what an exhibit a hundred years from now will say about this evening and these events in general. One would hope it to be positive, of course, but I still find it a valuable exercise.”

Karina nodded, “We will have to be sure to leave official and personal records behind. From all of us. To leave behind all points of view and not just one.” She looked around the exhibits, “I have always wondered what the other side was thinking. How they interpret events.”

Sy’rt moved towards one of the exits for this exhibit and stood facing the room, taking it all in with a discerning eye. “I can assure you that those on my world that are open to building a positive relationship with this planet and the Federation see those events differently than many of those that participated in them. It is a battle that is taking place on a generational level and while we are trying to keep pushing Tutsikara forward, it is not easy. I don’t expect that to change anytime soon either.”

“Change comes slowly. It is never overnight and 100% agreement is unlikely to ever happen. Even here on Oed it is not 100% consensus. I believe that it will be a trying journey for everyone, but one with great rewards at the end,” Karina mused as she stood and looked over the exhibit with him.

“Well, if there is anything that is true for my people it that change happens slowly. Hopefully it won’t be so close that we perish as a people in the process,” Braak said, with something that amounted to the Vren version of a snort. “It would be one thing if we were reaching out to correct old wrongs, but everything is complicated by the fact that our planet and children are dying. And still there are those that would maintain that our even being on your world is some sort of treachery. Astonishing, no?”
