Hannah didn’t like it, not one little bit. She was used to being the one left behind, she did not like being the one leaving. She spent every third week on the Centurion and she knew and had told Jason they were going out for a small shake down sometime soon. It was her job. She didn’t like it.

The first couple of days of her week on the Centurion were busy and work as usual. She sent Jason a brief message, but didn’t have time for more. By the end of her shifts she went straight to bed. It wasn’t until after her shift on the third day, Hannah realized how much she missed Jason. That scared her how quickly her feelings at grown. Then she reminded herself it really wasn’t all that quickly, it was just surprising to find him again so suddenly. Hannah told herself this was good, to have this little break. Everything had happened so quickly and so intensly, a chance to breathe was good. She sent him a message every day. Once simply to complain that replicated sushi did not help her nausea.

Then her week was up and she went back to the penthouse. Middle of the night, the comms went off and she had to report back. The Centurion was going out for 3 days. Hannah had to leave to make sure the Fleet infirmary was in order and then go back to the ship. Hannah hated it.

But while they waited to disembark, Hannah had something she would like to go ahead and get done. So after getting settled she went to see Dr. Fayth

Sharah had known this cruise was coming and when the comm came through she wasn’t surprised. She had a bag already packed. Poor Yavia was nervous. Sharah had asked her to take care of Hope for her. It wasn’t much, just 3 days, but Sharah was extremely attached to the bonsai tree and Yavia did not have a green thumb. Sharah wasn’t worried. It was very strange though not to have Hope with her. Sharah knew with serving on the colony that the circumstances would not always allow her to stop and grab the plant. But it still felt very strange to know the tiny tree wasn’t there. While they were in orbit though Yavia and Charles presence still felt very close. Though it was different feeling Charles closer in the orbital platform and Yavia further still on the planet.

Sharah had just finished checking the supplies and crew when Hannah appeared at her office door. “Hannah, how are you? I know you just returned to the surface. How is your stomach?”

Fayth, CMO

Hannah grimaced. “Queasy. I admit I didn’t eat much last night. I know the g-force is the same amount, but it’s just different going from real to artificial. I’m trying to keep up my water intake, but all the fluid on my stomach isn’t helpful.”

Sharah nodded, “Do you need something stronger for the nausea? We can do that. Or an electrolyte infusion. Just something to help you get past the initial discomfort so you can eat and drink?” Sharah saw no reason to deny Hannah the opportunity to be there, but if she was sick all the time, she would spend the whole time in her quarters. Hannah felt apprehensive and nervous to Sharah. She waited to see if she would say anything else.

“Actually, I was wondering if you had time to do something for me? Since we have a couple hours before we leave.”

“Of course, what do you need?” Sharah’s answer was immediate and warm. “The whole crew isn’t even aboard yet, so we have some time.”

Fayth, CMO

“I wanted to have a genetic study done for the baby. I have a friend, she’s the top geneticist in Star Fleet, Alexis Kane, she offered to do it. She said if I could get someone to draw the sample and then send her the profile she would do the analysis.” Hannah was nervous about what Alexis might find, but it was better to go ahead and have it done. Like Jason said, there could be things that they should be aware of incase others got curious.
