Stepping out of the theatre into the cool night air Eela slipped her hand into Dash’s and gave it a squeeze. “I’ll see you at the restaurant in a little bit?” she asked.

“Absolutely,” he said. “I can’t wait.” He kissed her hand before she stepped away and she just grinned at him.

Going their separate ways for a short while Eela returned to her apartment to change. As promised, she set up a screen in her bedroom and called Karilan. Still in her black dress, her cheeks were flushed slightly and Eela’s expression was elated.

“Tell. Me. EVERYTHING.” the Deltan said with a grin before eben saying ‘hello’. “And no, not about the performance.” they said with a wink.

Karilan

She beamed at Karilan before laughing. “Oh Karilan, he’s just…” She shook her head. “He brought flowers, but just in case it was too much of a cliché, he also brought seeds to grow the flowers because he knows how much my garden means to me. And the entire time he was watching me watch the performers, yet he still could remark to them afterwards about the nuances of their performance. He really pays attention and I just love that.”

Eela drew in a deep breath. “I don’t want to keep him waiting too long, but it’ll only take me me thirty seconds to change. Ready for another reveal?”

“You watched me change, its only fair.” Karilan said with a grin. “Seriously, change. Yiu can’t keep him waiting.”
