The morning began with a call.

[o] Mr. Devalin, this is the reception desk. A package has arrived for you, sir. Would like us to send it up? Or will you pick it up on your way out? [o]

Sky Harbor Tower Reception

Logan rubbed his eyes, sitting up. “Send it up, please.” He said. It was likely from the mysterious man he’s been working for. Though why it hadn’t just…appeared…in his apartment he wasn’t quite sure.

He walked out into the kitchen, occasionally lightly slapping his cheek to wake up. “Wake up. You’ve got a job today, last thing you need to is to fall sleep when meeting clients.” He said in way of a pep talk to himself.

Logan Mills

The chime rang. It was one of the building staff with a large envelope.

Inside was a series of images, individuals, with a sheet of actual paper with specific about them attached. A small note on the front said ‘Memorize this. You have 20 minutes.’

The Boss

Thanking the staff member, Logan sat down, setting himself a timer to memorize the specifics. He decided to stop questioning why at this point. If he was going to be embroiled in something more illegal, so be it. At this point, there was no getting out.

Less than an hour later, a slider was ready for him at the front entrance to the building. The door slid closed as he climbed in, and in a half hour the car stopped in the financial district of the city in front of a large multi-tenant office building.

As he walked onto the lobby, a wholly unfamiliar face walked up to him. “Mr. Devalin? My name is Johnathn Brooks, sir.” The speaker was human, male, and his early forties. “I was your father’s Executive Assistant. I know this is hard, but I want you to know I am here to help if I can. If you will follow me, I’ll show you to your office and then the conferenece room.” and he gestured to a series of lifts in the back of the lobby.
