The red headed Asian woman smiled and said “Of course, Madame Ambassador. The Governor and Lieutenant Governor are ready for you.” The doors to the office swung open,and Dorma gestured for her to enter.

Dorma Fen, Governor’s Aide

“Thank you,” Mathis said, giving Fen a gracious nod before moving towards the door.

Kenzo’s head turned as the doors opened. “And so it begins.” he said softly. He walked towards the door and put his hands behind his back.

Eela set her coffee on the table and stood.

As Mathis entered, Kenzo bowed. “Ambassador, welcome.” he said. He was dressed in a silk suit of deep, dark jade green. A black vest with a subdued gold pattern and matching tie sat atop a soft gold colored shirt. “Please be seated, won’t you? I believe we are ready to begin.”

“Perfect,” Jeannette said.

Dasca bowed her head. “Good morning,” she said warmly. He inclination was to use the woman’s first name since the two of them had crossed into that territory, but given the conversation about to occur and Kenzo’s greeting, she took her cue from him.

“Good morning,” Mathis said, returning the friendly smile. She really had wanted to attend last night but it had been actually for the best that she had stayed home with Ren and Jessie. From what Dash had said, it was a fun evening.

When everyone was set, he took a seat and they waited for the conference to start.

Hyrushi, Governor

Eela connected wth Cort who had indeed sent the feed link and made sure the connection was still stable.

When Kek appeared, Mathis smiled at him. She felt they had established at last something of a rapport and it was oddly nice to see the excitable Vren again. “Ambassador Kek, it’s good to speak with you again. As you know we made our official statement to the citizens of Oed Five yesterday and we presented both your ritual of apology and the news of your gift. We’re still waiting to see how it will be received, but so far people do seem to be understanding of your situation, if understandable cautious.”

The frog-like Ambassador nodded vigorously. “Hellos again! Its is good to be seeing yous again so soon. I am hoping that the gift was an acceptable token of our regrets for past’s actions by the Vren. And of courses, cautions are very understandable at these times.”

Kek, Vren Ambassador

Mathis nodded as well. “I think the gift has many people excited, Ambassador. It is very generous and will help the terraforming efforts. I think at this point, know that everyone is aware that we are proceeding, we should all discuss your arrival with your contingent and the next steps forward.”
