Jal’na entered The Defiant Mirror and scanned the space. She was looking forward to this. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and this promised to be a humorous outing. At the same time Jal’na really no longer wanted to participate. She gripped the bracer in her left hand, rocking it back and forth. She had given her word though, and it would be over in a few days.

She recognized a member of Dasca’s security detail making his way around the space. Presumably before Eela arrived. Jal’na supposed that would be her life too one day. No longer able to just come and go as she pleased. Urg went about with his own guard because of the threats to him. She doubted he would provide her with anything less. Or maybe she didn’t need it? It would be another change even if only when she was with him.

A small area had been set aside with light food and drinks and private dressing rooms for their small group. Jal’na was pleased to see prune juice and took a glass before sitting down.

Jal’na

A couple minutes after the security agent had made his rounds, the door opened and Eela stepped in, not wary per say but racing herself for the myriad of possible emotions people might be feeling after the announcement about the Vren. She was dressed more casually for work knowing full well she’d be changing clothes a bunch and instead of her usual leather work bag, Eela carried an embroidered fabric bag over her shoulder that held suitable formal shoes she (and her back) could tolerate.

Dasca gave Jal’na a lopsided grin. “I still can’t believe you let me off the hook on Tuesday. Does that mean I should be prepared for a tougher session next time?” she asked.

~Eela Dasca, Lt. Gov.

Yavia walked up and laughed, “Knowing Jal’na, she will turn this into a session with all the up, down, and twisting you will do to change clothes.” Jal’na grunted and grinned looking a bit dangerous.

Dasca snorted. “My back’s going to hate me. But I suspect it’ll be worth it.”

“Anything that makes you stringer is always worth it.” Jal’na declared like a mantra. Yavis laughed and grinned at the Klingon PT.

“Well I prefer my strength training be done with more pleasurable pursuits.”

Jal’na bared her teeth and a wicked smile, “You come see me and I will make sure you have the stamina for such pursuits with that Warrior of yours.” Then sheblaughed loudly as Yavia looked at her and said, “I’ll be there 0600 tomorrow.”

Yavia turned to Dasca after grabbing a drink. “It is a pleasure to see you again, Ms Dasca.”

“And you as well,” Eela said with a smile.

Yavia wandered around the immediate area going through the racks for a moment before dropping to a chair.

Yavia

Sharah finished her hot chocolate as they arrived at the store. She grinned at Mika, “Ready? This should be fun? Right?” She laughed and then slipped through the door.

Sharah

Mika smiled and shrugged. “Fun. Right.” Then she followed Sharah through the door. “What sort of thing are you looking for?” She asked Sharah as they headed inside. “Or are you more the browse and see what you find type?”

~ Mika

Sharah sighed, “I don’t know. Something that doesn’t scream ‘I’m Star Fleet.’ Also Insuppose just jeans and a t-shirt isn’t quite nice enough.” And she was not wearing the dress she wore put with Charles and Yavia.

They made their way to the other ladies and Yavia looked up and made a beeline for her, slipped an arm around her waist and hugged her, then kissed her quickly. She laughed at Sharah’s expression. “We aren’t at work I can do that.” Then she turned to Mika, “I am so glad you made it. Sharah is really happy you are here.” She dragged both women into the ground and circle of chairs.

Battening down the hatches, as it were, as more people arrived, Eela gave Sharah and Tandra a wave, seeming a bit more subdued that Sharah had seen her recently. then again, Eela figured everyone would forgive her that under the circumstances.

Sharah gave Eela a gentle hug. Understanding and support swirling around the other woman. Then she grabbed a water and sat.

Turning in a slow circle, Dasca eyed the garments and felt a little overwhelmed, but it was more than that. There were tiny little decisions she’d have to make that would make a big difference when she appeared in person. “So I actually need to outfits. One for the auction, and a formal gown for another upcoming event. And I need all your opinions since you can actually weigh in here.” She tapped her fingers against her purple t-shirt, the tips thudding against her anti-grav brace. “Brace or no-brace for Saturday? Since we’re not modelling on stage, I’m less worried about tripping and falling on my face, but wearing it does change how I wear clothes.”

~Eela Dasca, Lt. Gov.

“Brace.” Jal’na’s seat creaked as she turned to look at Eela and then glared at the others, daring them to defy her.

Sharah almost chocked on her water. “Well, you do have that follow up with Eraras soon. It would be a shame to ruin your hard work. And it will be a long day.”

“Ah, Eela, can I call you Eela? Wear whatever makes you happy, brace or no brace.” She pulled out a very slinky number. The material.looked rather comfortable and had relaxed lines, but the skirt was long and playful. “Here try this on. You ate the first volunteer.”
