When M’Mera and Elyss parted after their shopping day on the star base, the science officer was already aware of a migraine brewing behind her eyes. She’d been seeing the prodromal aura in her left eye for the last fifteen minutes, which meant pain was about to drop on her like an anvil. Hoping to catch it before it incapacatated her, she stopped by her quarters in order to drop off her purchases and then had every intention of heading to medical.

Just as she lay her packages down on the bed, excruciating pain engulfed the left side of her head. Too late–Elyss thought as she, too, sat down hard. She was always surprised at how fast her migraines manifested sometimes. Her current one was a doozy. After taking a few deep breaths, Elyss found her feet and headed out of her quarters. Time to get to medical before the vomiting started.

A few moments later, the doors to sickbay swooshed open and Zavey entered, one hand to her head and eyes mostly closed. “Help me—please—migraine…”

By now Cross was back on her feet , she had done her medical and Lt Elyss had told her about the migraines but when the CMO had told her to come to sickbay the Lt had said she always managed the migraines by herself .

OOC: That is not what she said. She said that she’d had them for years and that sedatives worked best for her so she could sleep through the pain.

Cross escorted her to a biobed, she could tell that this time it must be worse then the previous ones . As she picked up the medical trioder Cross asked ‘’Where is the pain mostly located ? Is your vision blurred and if so is this the first time it has effected your eyes ? Have you already taken any medication? ‘’.

Allowing Cross to lead her to a bio bed, Elyss closed her eyes against the harsh light of the medical bay. Through her lids, she could still feel the needle like pain that the light brought with it. Making her way up onto the bed, she curled up on her side. “Left side of my head. Nauseaus, I haven’t taken anything. I need a sedative, something to knock me out till the pain passes.” Elyss heard the familiar sounds of the tricorder scanning her and could feel the presence of the doctor at the side of the bed. She had no idea who else might be there because she wouldn’t open her eyes. Meanwhile, her stomach roiled with the need to vomit.

Satisfied that it was indeed migraine and nothing serious, Cross filled a hypospray with a potent painkiller mixed with something to help with the nausea ‘’Lets get you into one of the cubicles, it would be quiet inside without disturbance and the usual activity’’ .She helped Elyss walk inside and sat her down on the bed. ‘’Lie down and try to rest ,the medication shall make you drowsy ,I’ll check on you periodically and just in case you feel about to throw up there are vomit bags near the bedside’’ the CMO dimmed the light and silently closed the door.

Cross then headed to her office , Hunter was trying to calm the patient they had to restrain who was still refusing to say what had happened. Then he saw Kate leading the Orion woman to a biobed, seeing her bruised face , a patch of hair ripped from the scalp, an eye nearly closed already blue and purple .....Hunter thought if he had a gun right now he would blow his brain.

Kate explained everything to the doctor who in turn replied ‘’And we are suppose to relax and have some time off while the ship is docked!’’ .He treated D’Nesh, the bleeding from the nose had stopped and so did the blood from her mouth ,if the man had his way he would have beaten her to a pulp ‘’You should thank our security if he hadn’t saved you who knows what could have happened ‘’ Hunter scolded D’Nesh who said nothing except for the tears flowing down her bruised faced ,Hunter checked her eye to make sure it had not been damaged ,then a scan with the medical tricoder , there were no injuries ‘’ Here take this every four hours for the pain and that black eye is going to get worse before it starts to get better ‘’ .

D’Nesh nodded ‘’Can I go to my cabin? ‘’ her voice hardly audible . Hunter looked at Kate ‘’ I’ll escort her ‘’ .

From the corner of sickbay where everyone had seemed to have forgotten him for the moment Joe said in a stern voice. I’ll take my girl Doctor Hunter. I’m sure that Miri has better things for you to be doing here than to be playing at being an orderly. ” Joe then picked up D’Nesh like a child and she simply put her arms around his neck and leaned her face against him. He looked over at Hunter and said,” If you could have Miri drop by any other meds or instructions to me at the Dragon. ” Joe shook his head and looked down at D’Nesh telling her ,” You need to take care of yourself girl. ” As he was leaving out the door he was heard to say, ” I think you’ve been putting on some weight, haven’t you?”

Hunter scratched his heard ‘’Kate was going to take her I have more pressing matters to attend too , then taking someone who steals what she fancies ‘’ he replied.

OOC: I’m done with this thread. I wanted to do a couple of things here but you’ve taken over with other characters.
