“Since the emergency is over, I’d like to be excused now,” asked Faith. “I need to feed Ginger and check if there is any damage to the Captain’s Quarters and his Map Room and Ready Room. Then I wouldn’t mind a decent meal myself!”

‘’Yes of course Faith and thanks for the help ‘’ Cross replied.
“I need to feed Ginger ‘’.

‘’Better find him , cause if it died the Captain would be inconsolable ‘’ she teased ‘’And wait for me to join you for lunch, let D’Nesh or Joe know so to prepare something delicious ‘’.

Morris laid in the bed patiently, his attitude upbeat and optimistic. He was always one to find the bright side of things. “If everything looks alright, I’ll head up to the bridge to report to the Conn. If you ever need security, don’t hesitate to call on me, Doc.”

‘’Welllllllll…’’ Cross said as she read the scan ‘’It did pick something up you’re hungry ‘’ the CMO joked’’ From the medical side you are clear for duty ‘’.

‘’ Sure will ‘’ the female doctor responded back ‘’Welcome to the Merrimack’‘.

The nursing officer came just a Cross had finished the security’s medical ‘’ I changed the dressing ,the patients are all in a satisfactory manner ,they should be since they are showing signs of a healthy appetite ‘’ Kate chuckled .

Joe smiled at Kate and said to her ” Well I think that would be because of the great sandwiches from the Dragon bar!”

Kate nodded and smiled ,she felt relaxed with the power back and was about to hug Joe but stopped herself knowing Cross was next to her .

“Thank you,” Morris said and got up from the bed, “I’ll be making my way to the bridge now. Hopefully there’s not too much trouble up there.” And with that, Morris made his way out towards a lift.

‘’Wait I’m coming with you ‘’ Cross told the security ,he might find it rather strange that the CMO was heading to the bridge but Morris was new and knew next to nothing about Cross.

Kate saw them leave ,not that it mattered after all there were only three patients and all were on the mend besides doctor Kim was there .She turned to the Orion girl ‘’D’Nesh now that the lights are on why don’t you leave either to the Dragon bar or your cabin ‘’ the nursing officer suggested.

Dr Kim

After Cross had eaten she was thinking of going to her quarters to rest ,that is until doctor Kim informed her of the new patient ,She made her way to sickbay cursing silently and when she saw who the patient was she cursed even more ‘’He was in a catatonic stupor on the bridge , I’ll see what I can do to bring him out of it ‘’ .

*Maybe a high voltage electric shock to the brain would work * an evil thought came to her mind.

Cross CMO.

The doctor in her took over ,she wondered why he seem to be in a catatonic state,uncommunicative and unresponsive to external stimuli .Did she miss something during his medical? Was there an underlying condition he did not disclose or maybe it had come about recently .

One thing was for sure thoroughly tests needed to be done . She called Kate and briefed her about her initial assessment ‘’He’s not unconscious yet unresponsive please see that he’s taken care off ‘’.

Cross CMO.

In her office Cross was looking at the brain images of the XO but could not find any anomalies ,she was about to call Hunter then remembered he had gone down on the planet . The CMO decided to put the patient in the Stasis Unit , an Emergency medical device used to hold a patient in suspended animation until treatment can be rendered.
Cross knew that more tests where needed to figure out what was causing the patient to be in such a state .

Cross CMO.

She was about to enter her office and do some paper work but not knowing if Bridge had managed to make contact or not Cross decided to head there instead, at least she would be updated on the latest development.

Cross CMO.

Cross got the nurses to put the XO back on a biobed for more tests , scanning with the medical tricoder she was surprised by the spiked vital signs and even more so when he opened his eyes and started to move .
The CMO scratched her head for the Cmdr made a dramatic improvement without any medical intervention ‘’Welcome back Cmdr ‘’ she said smiling ‘’ Kate is bringing your uniform so you can head to the bridge ‘’.

The doctor wondered if for some reason he had been effected by whatever interference was around the planet ?.

Cross CMO.

Kate was still wondering about the Cmdr , as to what had happened to him and coming out of the catatonic state without any medical intervention .
* Never a dull moment in sickbay * the N.O thought to herself.

“Can i get some water, my head is pounding” Lt cmdr Sanks stated as he sat up. He tried to shake off the pain, and remember what had happened. Last thing he remembered was being on the bridge, and now sitting on a biobed in Sickbay, and he didn’t know how or why. “What happened? Last thing I remember, we were on the bridge, trying to restore power.” He asked.

Kate handed him a glass of water while Cross gave him a shot for the headache ‘’You were on the bridge in a catatonic state for some time thus you are in sickbay , no intervention from the medical side you came out of it like the ship got its power back ‘’ the CMO replied ‘’You might as well accompany me cause I’m heading to the bridge ,I’ll brief you on what happened on our way ‘’.

Cross CMO.

Cross entered sickbay and headed straight to her office followed by Kate ‘’Report ‘’ she told the nursing officer as she sat behind her desk . ‘’Nothing much ,the patient which we brought with the partially collapsed lung has recovered and the wound is closing up ‘’ she stopped and took a deep breath ‘’We removed the cast from the woman’s broken arm and went on with the treatment we normally used now that our medical tools are working ,the crewman who was brought half unconscious want to be discharged but doctor Kim told him to wait until you returned ‘’ Cross nodded ‘’ I’ll check him out before discharging him , say some coffee ? ‘’.

Kate nodded ‘’Any news from the landing party ?’’ the CMO responded with a simple ‘’Yes ‘’.

Cross CMO.

Kate wanted a bit more information ‘’Are they all safe? ‘’ she asked . Without looking at her Cross replied ‘’M’Mera did not give us much information and since I’m on the ship how should I know!!’‘.

The nursing officer bit her lip and from the tone of the CMO’s thought it was wise to not ask any more questions on the subject .
