It seemed to Captain Glen that the questions were coming to an end, and he had nothing more to say. “Any other questions? Either for me, or that you think we should ask Platus?”

‘’Yes Captain I do , can you tell us who is going with the landing party ?’’ Cross asked.

“That’s a good question!” Glen said, as he hadn’t had time to consider it yet. “I’m assuming from the question, you wish to go rather than send one of your other very capable doctors? I’ll be going obviously, and do wish to come, Roger?” Captain Glen asked the new XO. “Or stay and take control of the Merrimack? We can always leave Hercules Kahuna in charge?”

“Then, I’d also like Max Mullins and Lance Malone,” continued Captain Glen. “I’d like Stella Gagnon and Eros Dionysovich as they are new to the ship. Then M’Mera, and however many other security officers that she thinks will be necessary. So probably nine or ten officers in total.”

M”Mera’s mouth had been open to speak but when the Captain tagged her on at the end she shut it and nodded emphatically.

‘’Not really Captain I would prefer to coordinate sickbay plus triage and inform the medical team, doctor Hunter is an excellent doctor and surgeon if you want to take him ‘’
Cross replied.

“Okay, then I can take Dr. Hunter, or Dr. Kim if you’d prefer?” Glen replied. Hunter might be the most capable doctor aboard, but he does often seem to rub people the wrong way, thought Glen.

’’ I need doctor Kim beside he’s not the type you want to take with the team ‘’ Cross responded knowing how rather eccentric his character was ‘’ Should the unthinkable happen and we would need Hunter in sickbay he can be beamed up ‘’ she stood up, her Padd under her arm ‘’ Guess for my part I can leave and head to sickbay that is if you don’t have anything more to add ‘’.

“So, Dr. Hunter it is then. I have nothing more to add, no,” Glen replied. “As there are no more questions then we should get the Merrimack underway and go to assist these miners. Meetings are events where minutes are taken and hours are wasted!”

“Everyone is dismissed,” Glen said. He then went immediately to the Bridge.

On arrival at the Bridge he told Eros Dionysovich, “Set a course for Ardan V. Take us out, one eighth impulse. And then, on my mark, Warp factor 5!”
