‘’Then why did the Commodore during the briefing tell us to check it out? Surely not to see a crater!’’ Cross exclaimed.

Cross was correct but Guy couldn’t admit that to himself. If Guy was to do that, then he’d have to admit there was some danger to this mission, and on a dangerous mission it was never the ship’s CMO who died first. And if someone did need to die, then he’d much rather die clueless.

“Right Sir!” he replied. “I don’t think I was getting the whole picture here, Sir!”

‘’Sir? Sir!’’ Cross exclaimed ‘’Can’t you distinguish a man from a woman ‘’ it was not a question but the CMO let it go , she was far to busy staring at the radar, half expecting a circle advancing around their perimeter.

“Sorry, Ma’am!” Guy mumbled. The truth was that Cross scared him, even more so since she almost had him court-marshalled for cowardice. He didn’t know what he was saying and should probably just say nothing at all.

M’Mera decided to keep quiet as the other two wrangled a bit. Obviously they had been crew members for a while. She spent the time looking out at the view and preparing to catalogue what she could of the environment they were going to enter.

Lt. M’Mera COS

“So were meant to be seeing if what the planetary government is saying is true, they said a meteor is the reason for the plague our sensors tracker the meteor to this crater so we get to go look at it up close and personal.” Lance explained in brief, “I’m willing to take bets on what we find down there, I have 5:1 odds that there is a crater but no plague, 20:1 on not a meteor but a space ship, 7:1 on a meteor and plague.” he said reeling off the probabilities he had worked out in his head. “oh and now 100:1 on sea monster thanks to Guy.”

-Lt Malone CSO

Cross who was sitting behind the CE and literally breathing down his neck asked ‘’Are we there yet?’‘.

Cross CMO.

M’Mera chuckled as she waited with the rest for the go to head down.

Lt. M’Mera COS

Once the shuttle was launched their descent was quick and easy enough, descending into the ocean’s depth without issue with a splash. Undersea life was quick to be picked up near them which were mostly fleeing from their disruption. Fish, and small hammerhead like dolphin creatures swam away. Leaving the shuttle to begin its descent.

The next 20 minutes passed without problems, a few creeks and groans from the slow pressure changes, but the modified structural integrity field and deflector shields kept no major issues from occurring. Their descent leveled out around 35,000 some feet down and they had a little more to go when the scans resolved more accurately to pick up the massive crater not much further below. However, on visual scans within the massive crater impact they picked up a far more unusual and unexpected site. A large 200ft circular object was in the craters center. It was silver-green in tone with very artful weaving designs all over the hull surface they could see. Scans of the object reveled it wasn’t metal as the surface might at first imply but instead some kind of hard granite/marble like mixture!

the movement of about 20-40 ‘things’ inside the object thought Guy, but he continued to remain silent.

OOC: Sorry we must have posted at the same time so I C/P .

‘’Wow!!’’ Cross exclaimed ‘’That thing look massive ,never seen anything like it ‘’.

Interestingly too the could pick up it was hollow and had some kind of energy generation going on that equaled almost the warp core output of the Merrimack. The signatures though did not match anything known right away in the database. Life sign scans were indeterminant, they were picking up movement of about 20-40 things inside the object but they did not seem to be artificial or organic to the sensors of the shuttle. They would have to get closer to see what more they could tell.

GM CockRoach

Her scan was useless inside the shuttle ,it seemed they had to rely on the shuttle sensors ‘’Those objects are not artificial or organic yet they’re moving ‘’ the CMO turned to face the rest of the team ‘’Does anyone ever came across something similar or could offer more information?’’ .

Cross CMO.

M’Mera undid her seat buckle and moved forward to peer out the viewscreen. “Not a clue, any ssignss of sshieldss or weaponss?” She asked full of distrust.

Lt. M’Mera COS

‘’Nothing visual from here apart the disk resembling marble ‘’ Cross replied ‘’ We’re going deeper and nearer but what could those objects inside be ?’‘.
