Layanna took in her surroundings as she made her way toward the medical bay to get her boarding physical done. A few wrong turns later she entered the medical bay and waited to be seen.

Royal, Number One.

OOC: I’m going with this.... you already wearing your uniform:)

Hunter saw the female crew member entering and made his way towards her ‘’ I’m doctor Hunter I assume you’re here for your med....’’ he stopped in mid sentence when he realized this woman was the new Cmdr! .
Taken by surprise he gave her a quick salute,then wondered what the darn he was doing.

‘’Please make yourself comfortable ‘’ pointing to a biobed while the male doctor got the medical tricoder . He tried to stay calm but inside he was furious with Cross for not telling him that a new XO had boarded the ship.

‘’Cmdr is there anything I should know before I start?’’ .

OOC: Does the scan pick anything up?.

Hunter Dr.

“As you were doctor” she said looked over to the biobed he had pointed to. She sat down and wiggled a little to get comfortable. Her blood pressure was slightly elevated but other than that she was fine.

Layanna took in the doctor before her and realized something about him was familiar to her. She couldn’t put her finger on where she knew him from, but she knew she did.

Layanna, Number One

After reading the scan Hunter offered her his hand to sit up ‘’Cmdr from the medical side you are fit for duty ,please tell me your full name?’’ the doctor asked since he had to bring out her medical file .
Looking at the computer screen and with his fingers ready to type ..............he waited.

Hunter Dr.

“Layanna Jane Royal” she said as she took a deep breath and let it out slowly. She still couldn’t figure out where she knew the doctor from, but she knew she would eventually figure it out.

As she said her name Hunter was about to start hitting the keys but that was as far as he went .The doctor looked at the Cmdr ,specifically her eyes ‘’Layanna ?Is that you? ‘’ he passed his fingers through his shoulder length hair ‘’A long time ago do you remember a cadet named Troy?’’ .

He felt his heart beating in his throat as he waited for her answer.

Hunter Dr.

Her eyes went wide as he mentioned his name, she felt the excitement growing. She tried to slip off the biobed, but almost face planted the floor.

Hunter was quick to catch the Cmdr before she slammed her face against the floor and helped her back to a sitting position on the biobed,the doctor hoped no one had been around to notice, observed or caught sight of what had just transpired .

He did however hold her by his hands in the pretense that looked like he was making sure the Cmdr would not fall again ‘’Oh Layanna ,oh my dear little sister ‘’ he whispered as past memories came flooding back but Hunter knew that hugging her now was out of the question ‘’ This is not the right time , if you want to speak to me we have to do it in private.......... gossip here goes around at a warp not yet invented ‘’.

Managing to pull himself together the male doctor went back to his computer ‘’ Cmdr , if you feel steady on your feet you can leave sickbay ‘’.

Hunter Dr.

“When and where?” She asked quietly as she made her way to her feet. She couldn’t help grinning as she thought about all the fun they had had at the Academy.

‘’Later at my quarters ,I’ll be there when my shift ends’‘as he said those words he kept his eyes firmly on the monitor while trying his best to keep his emotions at bay.
Hunter Dr.

“I’ll be there!” She said as she took her first step toward the door. Knowing Troy was here with her made this new journey less terrifing. She exited sickbay with a spring to her step.
