As Glen went on about not effecting development of cultures the AI replied. =/\= I am curious, your principles do not have you interfere with other cultures or their development. Yet you are in orbit of Experimental Planet 19 doing just that. While we are not against this as it gives the experiments in progress more data points for future analysis your words seem to act against your taken actions. Doctor Cross previously explained you were here after the previous spacefaring race known as the Klingon Empire left after some time of using Planet’s 19’s seeded populace from this station as a labor force. They also attempted a massed attack on this station but without any success with heavy losses. The station’s tactical matrix has sent a request if you intent to also attempt hostile actions against this station. It states advisement that to do so would be foolish account for great loss of life. =/\= It said.

Cross was about to say that unlike ourselves, the Klingon’s had known about the structure, even if they had come in a fleet of several ships and demanded its surrender/compliance, and it had replied with no. and they attacked and lost ships before retreating, but never said they attempted to destroy it, then thought it was best to keep her mouth shut though she was infuriated by their consistencies.

On Cameron McDuff’s console he would see a new Security report that the Shuttlecraft has returned missing phasers, circuits and emergency equipment.

As soon as the report flashed up on-screen McDuff stood over the Security NE and read the message. Parts missing? Very abnormal. He transferred the report onto a PADD. He was more than aware of the fact the Captain was just begging a dialogue with the AI and he was reluctant to interrupt or disturb him, but McDuff felt that this was something the Captain ought to be aware of.

Cameron walked over the CO’s side. “Captain, I’ve just had this come through” he handed him the PADD. “Just give me the nod and myself or one of my team will go down to the shuttle bay and investigate this further.” Cameron spoke quickly and quietly to minimize the time he spent disrupting the Captain. He walked away and return to the security station.

“Okay,” replied Captain Glen. “If they were stolen on the planet, then we’d be in violation of the Prime Directive, never mind our mission brief.”

Kahuna said, “Urr! During the rushed evac, Commander Aphelion was accidently beamed up while holding onto the natives Sacred Scrolls. Maybe we can do a swap with them of the missing scrolls for the missing equipment?”

“I must have missed that,” Glen replied. “I was reading the transcript of the AI’s conversation with Dr. Cross. Yes, please organise that. You can tell them that Va says it’s okay now that we’ve actually met VA.”

Salek looked thoughtful as he listened to the conversation the wrinkles in his forehead deepened as he frowned. His face showing deep concern.

On arrival on the Bridge, Verity found the Captain deep in conversation with Kahuna, who seemed to have more information about the situation. Verity approached respectfully and waited for a moment to interject, not wanting to interrupt their discussion.

When there was a pause in their conversation, Verity addressed the Captain, “Captain, I’ve have the scrolls from the natives. They were teleported with me. We need to address that as well.”

“Yes, I was briefed about that,” Glen replied, “but don’t worry; I think we have that problem in hand. We can exchanged them for the things they stole from us.”

Cross nodded ‘’How do you feel with regards to your tail Cara, still capable of producing great physical force?’’ she asked hoping against hope that cutting off the air from the bacteria would by now have had some anticipated desired effect.

“We will try to make an effective antibiotic, I would also like for blood draws to be done from Cara in both the area that came into contact and then from another area… compare the samples and from the baseline on record… it may prove useful. If we can see how it replicates itself that may help figure out an antibiotic.” Salek looked between Cara and Cross.

“My tail doesn’t feel any different,” Cara replied. Maybe you should check it out again in Sickbay. This time there will only be myself to deal with and I’ll try to keep it under control.”
‘’Sure no problem ‘’ Cross replied ‘’Hunter must be in sickbay by now , so when you can head there Cara do tell him what Salek requested ‘’.

“I’ll report to Sickbay,” Cara replied, thought she thought she might hang around a little longer on the Bridge to find out what would happen here.

Cross was not yet finished, her inquisitive nature took the better of her ‘’Salek are you one of those Vulcans who have purged yourself of any emotions ?’’ it mattered to the CMO ,it mattered a lot.

Salek had not been expressing really any emotion his voice netural as he had spoke before. Just fleeting hits of concern showed in a small portions of his face and his eyes. “I have went through my Kolinahr yes.” He said raising an eyebrow.

Cross gave him one of her angelic smile though there was nothing angelic about the female doctor.

The fact that you defeated a fleet of Klingon vessels, and an armada of 23 ships from the Rostar Alliance, is something we can appreciate too. We have no wish to undertaken suicide missions. =/\=

“I am glad that it hasn’t decided to just blow us from orbit.” Salek said his face still showed his concern that just continued to grow.

Glen might have thought that was a joke if it hadn’t come from a Vulcan. “That hasn’t escaped me attention!”

Glen was concerned about this situation with the AI escalating. The AI seemed to be very militant, but it didn’t seem hostile or aggressive to them right now, at least, not yet, and maybe it had good reasons to have destroyed fleets of ships. It certainly had no regrets about doing so, and killing thousands of sentient beings in the fallout. Which was why Glen really wanted to speak to the Ascended, because he thought that they might show a little more emotional intelligence. On the other hand, to place VA stations in charge of the development of 19+ planets didn’t particularly seem to be an idea that had passed very much critical thinking either. While he waited for a decision to me made upon that request, he could only work with what he had…

‘’Captain don’t you find it strange that the Ascended show such keen interest to gather as much information as they can about what its like to be organic, in the hope of their next generation becoming so, when they have little or no regards for other beings ?’’ Cross asked ‘’Don’t take them for fools they have already scanned the whole ship and every crew member ‘’ the doctor advised ‘’About the dilithlum the AI said the Klingons needed it for their ships just as we do ‘’.

“It was once said that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely,” Glen replied. “Without meeting the creators of planet ‘Nytean’ I wouldn’t want to make any assumptions, and their AI may not be running as it was originally designed, but they could be so far removed from corporeal life that they just don’t realise how ironic they are being.”

Glen thought a while longer, then added, “Unless we do meet them, or at least know a little more about them, we don’t even know whether their original corporeal bodies were humanoid. Maybe they are trans-dimensional hyper-being white mice, or symbiotic eels, or giant ants with six limbs and bulbous abdomens, or that they once had two heads, one leg and three arms? Maybe they are like the alien mechanoid species that became V’ger, although you say they did mention being organic? It is still very possible that they never experienced what it was like to be humanoid, or they may have just got bored with being immortal and want to experience and feel what their ancestors once felt again. We simply cannot know.”

Cross replied ‘’Captain from what I understood they want the next generations to became organic ,they had asked me what its like to be one and the only answer I could give is that every thing organic would eventually die but it seem that they are not taking this lightly ,with their research they want to make sure the new organic one’s would have favorable beneficial as regards to one’s health, a suitable quality, standard, or type to meet the required purpose......which I don’t think us Homo-sapiens fall under that category ‘’. she finished off.

While Glen waited for a response to his request for a meeting with the ascended, he spoke again to ask an additional question.

The AI replied that Captain’s Glen’s request to meet with the aliens had been accepted. Immediately, without any warning, the Bridge was made luminous and Glen was transfigured into a being of beauty and grace. He had feelings of peace and of great compassion; of both sadness and happiness; of shedding all his earthly woes; of evolving upwards. The crew saw their Captain bathed in a supernatural blinding white light followed by a shimmering Transporter-like pattern. And then the Captain was gone. Just complete silence and stillness. To where the Captain had gone to, they could not be sure, but they could be certain that he was no longer present in this dimension. He had ascended.

Cross saw what was happening as did everyone else on the bridge ,she was in awe to say the least …that is until the doctor realized the Captain was not on the ship anymore ‘’ He’s gone, they took him ‘’ she murmured ‘’What if they keep him, what if?’‘.

Saelk looked at Cross, then at the rest of the bridge. “That would be up to the Lt. Commander.” He said as he looked toward the now acting captain. “Though I do have a inkling of what we should do.” He said thoughtfuly.

OOC: Maybe I’m jumping the gun with ooc knowledge… There are a few things I’m a little lost on… timelineing is a bit of a blur.

IC: Salek raied his eyebrow. “There are protocalls for these kind of things. Or there should be. For now we should hold position here and send a subspace communication to Star Fleet Command . Until the time that the captian returns, or command issues new orders, the logical and obvious thing to do is to stay where we are and carry out our current mission. I would imagine command of the ship should go to the highest ranked member of the crew. Which normally would be a Lieutenant Commander if proper procedure is to be followed. In the event that a Lieutenant Commander is unable to be found a suitable Lieutenant will have to be in command until such time that Star Fleet designates a new Captain.” He said bluntly. Then looked about to the other officers on the bridge. “Considering the information we havw recieved going on the offensive will not do us any good. We sit and wait while we carry out our current mission. Does this sound agreeable to those here?”

’’ Lt Salek that is the reason I took command being the most senior one onboard,to be honest its not something I relish .Everyone on the bridge is an asset to me ,yes I fully agree we wait , there is no need to be hostile after all it was the Captain himself who asked permission to go ‘’ Cross replied ‘’ Maybe with the help of the Chief Engineer we can get what the inhabitants stole from the shuttle in exchange to their scrolls which came on the ship by mistake .Now where the hell are those scrolls!’’ the female doctor exclaimed.
She had no idea that they were in her office , as Hunter was going through the information ,which he and Lt Verity had found.

OOC: At this point we just need to use our imagination that is until the G.M cough something up, as it shall be awhile until David comes back .

Max had this odd response when he was doing a search of personnel on board. He had understood the captain had made it back from planetside not problem but he was not longer able to find the captain anywhere on the ship. He was going to hit up the captain but now this was concerning. He then hit the communicator area on his station and said =/\=Lt Mullins to Bridge. I have noticed the captain is no longer present on the ship. Can someone give some details on what might have happened please?” This made Mullins concerned something might be going on and he needed to do what he could to prevent any more folks from disappearing.
