Hey all sorry for my lack of posting this past week, life, family, job hunting then a visit to a friend this weekend who suddenly also lost internet service till late Saturday cause me unable to post till today. I’m getting caught up, please bare with me.

This might be a good place to tell you that I’ll be going travelling again from the 24th July and likely won’t post at all during that time. I’ll post an eLOA
nearer the time. I expect that the Sim will be almost completed by then, and that you can work around my absence. Last time I did this, Captain Glen fell into a coma and couldn’t be woken but not sure that such a thing is necessary. Maybe he gets ascended in order to meet the aliens before being returned - the TV Tropes website calls this when a character is being “put on a bus”.

I’m thinking this might be a good idea now. Captain Glen is temporarily ascended in order to converse with the ascended aliens and then returned to human form again. However, what takes a matter of a few minutes to Glen, takes several days in game time, and weeks in real time.

The AI replied that Captain’s Glen’s request to meet with the aliens had been accepted. Immediately, without any warning, the Bridge was made luminous and Glen was transfigured into a being of beauty and grace. He had feelings of peace and of great compassion; of both sadness and happiness; of shedding all his earthly woes; of evolving upwards. The crew saw their Captain bathed in a supernatural blinding white light followed by a shimmering Transporter-like pattern. And then the Captain was gone. Just complete silence and stillness. To where the Captain had gone to, they could not be sure, but they could be certain that he was no longer present in this dimension. He had ascended.

Edit: I wanted the Roach to okay this first before it was posted IC, which was why I posted it here OOC rather than in the Bridge thread myself. He has now posted a LOA until tomorrow, but I see someone has posted it IC, and now you have all run away with it as a fact. Well, just don’t blame me if he voids everything! I’m also not sure that you can say that the natives stole stuff from the shuttle either. I just created that rumour because Security had absolutely nothing to do.

Sorry, that both myself and the Roach are away but my absence was planned a long time ago. It was why I was keen to fill all the DH places ASAP. You’ll just need to self sim until he is around, but I know you are good at that. Remember this is meant to be a slow to medium ship, and enjoy some summer weather instead.
