Reia had spent her Star Fleet career observing people and it naturally carried over into her personal life. She had a good idea of where Dagen’s head was at at that moment. She liked him and had great respect for him and was not the type of woman to abuse his state of mind even though she was very attracted to him as well.“I didn’t have any siblings growing up. I’ve often wondered what that would have been like. Yes, you certainly did squeeze a lot into those early years didn’t you?”
“It is a blessing and a curse,” he said, sobered as he watched her refill the glasses.
She paused and refilled their glasses. They would either drink them or leave them on the table.
“They can be your greatest source of frustration or your most believed support. And sometimes both at the same time.” He took a big gulp out of the wine. “But it doesn’t matter because they are family. A part of you.” He paused. Before he could continue, if he was, she spoke.
“If you like, I won’t bring wine next time. I certainly wouldn’t want you to think that I’m trying to get you drunk and take advantage of you. I don’t think we need alcohol for that.”
Reia was in a good mood, relaxed, teasing, and eager to see where the night would take them.

Dagen laughed, his hand waving that held the glass. “You’d need more than one bottle with me,” he said. “ Back on 42 I got used to things a lot more potent than this wine.” He leaned in to kiss her then her neck again, inhaling purposefully. “ No, but it is an interesting mix,” he continued planting a playful bite on Reia’s shoulder. When he met her eyes again he too that time to study her more which was more of an appreciation of her beauty. “And I don’t think that you need to worry about taking advantage of me.” He didn’t finish the sentence. By Dagen’s thinking which admittedly was a tad clouded, she could do so anytime. “What was it like growing up for you?” He asked, sealing that question with a lingering soft kiss.
DagenReia lingered in the kiss for as long as she could before answering his question.
“I grew up with my grandparents. My mother had to leave my life when I was bout three and I wouldn’t know my father if he walked up and said hello. My grandparents were good to me but I was a very complicated child, especially around puberty which came a bit early for me. You see, that’s when my green side started kicking in and all the boys in school started looking at me differently. I think it caused a few fights but I never really paid attention unless it was right in my face you know?”
Dagen was feeling the ‘green’ side of her. It had not been long enough for the wine to do that. ‘Had to leave’? That was interesting. “I’ll bet the teenage years were challenging.” As focused as Dagen was growing up in the different things he had done he knew that those teenage years were hard on him - without pheromones. Still he had put aside any dating per se until after his .. defeats. Given her .. influence, had she been in the class Dagen wondered how he would have reacted. He nodded, understanding.
Reia paused and took another drink of her wine. Surprisingly, she had finished the glass. Shaking her head, she put it back down.
Watching Reia put the glass down he noticed a bare patch at her nape, uncovered for a moment by her silky hair. He leaned in and softly kissed her there.
“But as I approached teen age years, I really couldn’t get away from that sort of thing. So my grandfather enrolled me in self defense classes wit… Um… Mixed results.”
“Oh?” he prompted. He could perhaps guess those results but it sounded like an interesting story. He wondered what kind of self defense. Growing up and through the Academy he had done some training in kick boxing. That had been many a year ago now and he would likely embarrass himself to try anything now. Or pull something. By the way she sounded Reia had kept up on it.
Reia looked at Dagen and smiled studying his nice eyes, unruly mop of hair, and spots that made him very distinguished in her eyes.

The Trill finished his glass. It was a smooth wine. Some were harder to drink. For him the sweeter something was the more he was able to drink it down easily. Or he had simply not noticed given the company. There was still a glass each left in the bottle. He mentally shrugged and looked back at Reia. She was looking at him and he found he liked it. His right arm moved and his fingertips teased at her nape before leaning in to kiss her. He didn’t need wine with her pheromones but it was, he thought, a nice accompaniment. This time he didn’t pull back with his lips, and could hear the clatter of the glass as he tried to put it down without looking. It didn’t break, but neither at this moment would he have cared one way or the other.
- DagenReia moved with Dagen and somehow managed to slip an arm around hi, pressing her body against his. He had been wonderful company this evening. Respectful even under the influence of her pheromones. She found that she actually enjoyed the physicality because there was that conversation surrounding it. But the wine had done it’s job on her as well. If they had been at a party, she had no doubt that even this small bit after eight years would have made her inappropriately amorous and ended up being the talk of the ship the next day. But she was here, alone, with someone she liked quite a bit.
- Reia
Dagen had found that focusing on the conversation, well, as best he could, and bring back memories, had helped forestall what had seemed to be an inevitable tsunami of his own desires overwhelming what reason he had. Inwardly he knew he would have loved to have talked longer - and perhaps as time went on he could do that - or some variant. It was a comfortable evening. He was glad that she had come. The past days had been a matter of him distracted and always his mind sliding back to Reia. He wondered whether her pheromones were addictive, or whether it was simply an inner need in Dagen’s psyche that had clicked and, in some powerful way, linked with Reia.
Even now as his arms enfolded her and he felt her both in his hands and against him, he felt his senses reeling but at the same time anchored to her. He could taste her mouth even beyond the wine, inhaling her sweet scent that he knew was laced with her pheromones. Idly he wondered in a passing thought that, when she was aroused, did they increase. As one kiss ended, he pulled back for breath, his eyes close to hers. He could see the unfocused, yet laser sharp desire in her eyes and knew it must match his own. Tightening his arms around her Dagen shifted and moved them both more upright so that Reia was straddling him on the couch. Fingers curled through her hair to draw her in for another kiss. In the corner of his vision he saw the fallen wine glass beside her own; it seemed symbolic of his surrender to her. He was okay with that. “Thank you for coming,” he said moments before their lips met again.
DagenReia shifted easily with Dagen and found that she fit quite nicely on his lap. Her small body enfolded by his arms, she savored that long kiss before pulling back herself and smiling.
“I’m glad I’m here and I’m glad I took the morning off.” she said leaning and initiating a passionate kiss of her own.
Dagen could feel the warm waves of desire growing with each impassioned act. It wasn’t hard to tell that Reia’s pheromones were indeed rising like a tide under the full moon.
- Reia
She was desire incarnate. Somewhere in his mind he knew this was her pheromones speaking - loudly to him and overriding his senses. Her kiss sent him in waves of utter hunger that he felt like the proverbial immovable object had been overcome by the irresistible wave … and he was feeling waves upon waves of utter instinct rolling through him with her passionate kiss. He moaned out his surrender, hands moving on their own over her. Even though clothed he felt his body respond, rising to meet her all the more intimately. Dagen was lost in her, but didn’t care one bit at this moment. His lips met hers, a hand at her nape to keep her near in their kisses, the other hand literally tugging at her clothes. He was lost to her. Willingly. All he could feel was her warmth. The taste of her lips. The need that arose in him that he would be utterly devastated if she were to leave now. Everything was right. As he moaned out her name as their lips met the Trill knew that in that moment, for the first time, he had felt the onslaught of her pheromones and was slave to them.
DagenEven though part of Reia had expected this moment, or something similar, she was captivated by it. She liked the way her name sounded when Dagen moaned it. The feeling of his hands all over her body were sending tingles down her spine. She knew her pheromones were probably out of control but, for the first time, she wasn’t ashamed of that fact. Reia had given Dagen a chance to walk away the first night they had spent together but her hadn’t and that made her want him all the more.
- Reia
Dagen’s shirt had been one of his favorites, or at least favorite style, that was a wrap style reminiscent of the more formal fleet uniforms of a century ago. Thor’s first host, Surrel, while serving on the Euripides in that era had favored that style. Perhaps Dagen had been influenced by it, or not, but he liked it. At this point it had come loose as that was wont to do if disturbed and had revealed a fair amount of chest hair that Dagen had in abundance. How it had twisted had him feeling annoyed by it and at the break of a kiss he leaned back to give himself a bit of space and tugged on it to remove it which was more ‘vest’ style than overhead. As he wriggled he was able to meet her lips in passing, the play only making him more wanting of the next. As he cast the shirt carelessly away he found himself leaning back against the couch, body craving both her and oxygen, his hands at her waist, taking that moment to admire the object of his immediate and very lovely desire.
- DagenReia watched Dagen and laughed softly and met his passing kiss. When he put his hands on her waist she slipped one free and took it in her smaller hand. Bringing it to her lips, she kissed the back of it then turned it over to kiss the pulse point on his wrist before laying it on the front of her silk blouse making certain those talented engineering fingers found the small buttons of the loose fitting garment. It had been a replicated piece so she really didn’t care what happened to it.
- Reia
Her hand was warm, almost hot to his touch. That was, Dagen knew, in part due to the joining. For whatever reason it caused a Trills hands to be colder. In reality it was more ‘cool’ than cold, though again, perceptions were circumstantial. While her soft kisses did not cause him to react by virtue of the touch, in the moment it was terribly erotic and he heard himself gasp at the second touch of those soft lips. His whole body involuntarily shifted under her, displaying his restlessness, his other hand yet at her waist squeezing.
At the point where his palm touched silk, and the warmth underneath and the soft yielding of what lay under was like fireworks going off in his mind. He knew his heart was racing. The first button came easily, eyes flickering from hers to the blouse. After the first he gripped the fabric and used it to pull her down to him for a hungry kiss. Fingers worked at the second button but with more difficulty though, with the collateral brushes he didn’t mind at all. However, in the midst of a kiss, Dagen emitted a low growl in his throat and gripped her top and gave it a hard yank. He could feel and even hear the pop of buttons but that was a means to the end .. that his hand could then savor and claim the fruits of his labors.
