IC: Riley exited the turbolift on to the Bridge and nodded a greeting toward the duty officer as he made a quick bee line to the Captain’s Ready Room. According to the computer Marius was in and Riley had just the routine business excuse he’d been looking for to command a bit of the new CO’s attention. He tapped the padd he held in his right hand against the palm of his left before he pressed the chime.

“Come,” Came the clipped response from the Newly Frocked Captain. Actually, he wasn’t frocked it was all official… it just happened to be very fast. Marius looked up from behind his computer screen as he watched the door open.

Riley walked through the doors entering a room he knew well, but had changed. He hadn’t had an opportunity to glimpse the ship’s Ready Room since its occupant had changed and his dark eyes to a moment to take in both the familiar and the new. Only after he finished his cursory evaluation of the space did his gaze alight upon the man behind the desk. Julien was no small man, but Marius was bigger, and his frame behind the desk provided the most poignant contrast with the past.

“Do you have a moment, Captain?” Riley approached Marius’s desk, but remained standing. He held the padd he carried in front of him. “I have the latest enlisted evaluations. There are a few recommendations for promotion and assignment change that need your review and approval.”
