Leaving the Briefing Room, Riley ordered the turbolift down the two decks that separated them from Shuttlebay One.

“While I don’t want to overwhelm our hosts, I think two teams, heavy on science, will find the right balance. Lt. Thor, I’d like you to lead a team with Lts. Marishka and McGregor. Lt. Michaels, you’re with me. If you have a scientist from your department to assist Lt. Thor’s team that would be welcome. McGregor, a member of your department to assist my team would be equally welcome.”

As the turbolift doors opened, Riley knew there was a component missing from their away mission.
