The second day after Sienna had completed her physical evaluation, Tolar Zarath returned the favor, true to his word. The Andorian Doctor entered the Arboretum at 11:45 am ship’s time, with a thermos of hot tea and two cups in his medical bag. He chose a seat off to the side of the garden area where, despite the warmth of the lights that synthesized the sunlight needed for fauna, he could still get a view out of a window to the stars. Once he’d seated himself, he poured a cup of tea and began going over files on a PaDD while he waited for the CNS to arrive.

Sienna sat down beside him a short 5 minutes later with a basket laden with goodies for their breakfast. She smiled pleasantly and put the basket between them. Opening it caused a waft of steam to arise that smelled of fresh herbs and butter. Inside was a plate of omelettes, a side of fresh fruit, and a side of some kind of biscuit. The biscuit was the obvious source of the heavy butter smell.

She pointed to the omelettes first, “Those are omelettes. They are made mainly with eggs, Gruyere cheese, sour cream, crisp bacon, sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, tomatoes, caramelized onions, and fresh herbs.” Then she pointed to the biscuits, “Those are English muffins. They are a savory muffin and I have sandwiched fresh sweet cream butter in the middles. Then we have some fruit of course.”

She looked up and smiled, “And what did you bring to drink?”

“Well damn.” He chuckled. “I thought I’d brought something nice, but you seem to have taken the cake as it were… That smells wonderful. All earth dishes?” He handed her the other cup, and filled it from the thermos. “It’s a sweeter tea, made from the leaves of a subterranean tree on Andoria. It’s usually favored by the wealthier clans and used for special occasions and holiday meals. I also brought some Hari if you’d like to try some. We call it a bread, but it’s more like what you’d call a scone or a biscuit. Goes well with the tea. The flavors are complimentary to each other.” As he spoke, he produced and unwrapped a small, square shaped parcel which turned out to be several slices of dark, crusty looking bread.
