Feeling a little bit better after Keval Vras’ words of wisdom on the Challenger, Mara felt hopeful about meeting up with the Europa’s counsellor… Even if she was the professional at hiding her emotions, at least for a human!
She shakily extended her hand to knock on the CNS’ office door, clearing her throat to make an introduction.

“Ensign Mara Oxton, counsellor boarding check-in!”

The doors opened with an office broken up into two sections. The first and most immediate upon walking into the doorway was the official desk space. The other side, a little angled away from the desk area, was a sitting area with nice size window looking out into space. In front of the window was a cozy looking warm dark green couch with low coffee table and two cozy matching chairs opposite. The warm wood table had a tray ready for tea and some flowers in a vase, colorfully arranged. Two more arrangements sat on the wide windowsill between the window and couch. A multi colored glass shard mobile hung in the corner beside a series of floating shelves. On the shelves, she had a set of real books and a statue of the USS Korolev.

Sienna was sitting in one of the cushy chairs with her feet tucked under her and a PaDD on her lap, making notes. Her shoes lay next to the chair legs. Her hair was up as usual, in an intricate knot. She finished the last of them and turned her head to the doorway. “Ah Ensign Mara Oxton. Goodness is it that time already? Come in, come in.”

She sat up a little more straight but didn’t leave the chair. “Please have a seat and pour us some tea will you? Anywhere you like. Goodness I am parched!” It was obvious that the Counselor had been quite absorbed in her work and had not realized how long it had been since she had taken a break. The tea tray itself kept the tea hot and ready for whenever she wanted it. Today she had chosen an oolong raspberry tea with a light flavor and a warm you to your bones feel.

Nodding, Mara made the tea and looked around as the teabags were settling, in what her sister would’ve called a ‘brewing’ . After the tea was done, she grabbed one cup and have it to Sienna, then grabbing hers and sitting on the sofa opposite the chairs.
She couldn’t deny the fact that Sienna looked like she had a similar personality to the ensign, bibliophile, always engrossed in her work, easily distracted to the point that she’s missing time. Sienna was so similar to Mara that she instantly felt comfortable, like she was sitting opposite a friend.

“I hope the tea is okay? I was never really good at making them, my sister however was absolutely brilliant! Made the best teas ever”
