(OOC: does this affect other turbo lifts? And where might the lift have stopped? Last question: is this closed rp, or open to all?)

OOC: It wasn’t supposed to be all of them. The original issues was part of the power grid that affected this turbolift and another. A bad repair job by an NE is the culprit. Now if we want to make things worse, I’m open to it. I’m thinking the lift stopped between Deck 2 and 3. And absolutely open to all. ~Linds

Avik’s eyes widen and raised her arms, attempting to take the impact with her side. She landed with grunt just beside Officer Zorell. The pain shot through her skin and muscle, then faded into a dull ache. Nothing seriously damaged. Bathed in the dim, red lights, the XO twisted to observe the junior officer. Bruises and scratches marred the XO’s clean image.

“Careful when you get up. You might’ve twisted or fractured something if you landed wrong. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t irritate it more.” Her suggestion didn’t have a sense of empathy others would’ve had, but she was sincere.

With a careful movement, she began to push herself upward. Her mind assessed its condition until she was completely upright. Avik’s eyes darted to the scientist.

“Yeah, no kidding,” Vora muttered as she carefully moved to a sitting position. Her right arm hurt for sure and having fractured it before she recognized that it was distinctly possible she had done so again. her head hurt too but she could focus well enough.

“I think we stopped between decks,” Zorell said with a frown. “It’s probably related to the earlier malfunction,” she added with irritation. She had been on shift long past when she should of for this exact scenario they were trying to avoid.

“Are you alright?” Vor asked Avik, her eyesight poorer in the dim light given that Tenraith were adapted for brighter light.

Avik noted the tone but she said nothing. In fact, she outright ignored it. Her eyes scanned the interior of the turbo lift for an exit. Unfortunately, the dim light made it difficult for her eyes. The Vulcan race hadn’t started off as a nocturnal one so she didn’t have the traits accustomed to the dim light.

It took her a moment to speak.

“I believe you’re right. The Engineering department should be aware of it now and will be on their way to fix it.” She looked a bit harder but found nothing difference.

Vora hadn’t moved from her spot and figured it was best to stay in one place for the moment. “We should see if the commas work too.”

“As for my condition, there’s no fractures or wounds. And yours?” Avik turned to officer Zorell’s direction., observing the best she could in the conditions.

Holding her arm, Zorell frowned. “I’ve injured my arm. Maybe fractured. Feels like it did when it was broken before. Hit my head too, but I feel okay,” she admitted. There was no use in her hiding her issues when not only were they stuck in a small space, but Avik was a trained doctor.

Avik looked at her a moment then drew closer, taking a knee. This brought her to Zorell’s level. She glanced up once more to meet the woman’s eyes before she asked permission.

“Will you let me examine it? I don’t have my tricorder with me, but I can at least determine the damage amount.” Her voice was calm, but still void of empathy or emotion.

Though she didn’t say it out loud, Avik felt her intentions were obvious. Once she determined the damage, it made it easier to inform the medical department. If they could. Zorell had made a fair point with the comms.
