After so long in the Federation, shaking hands was not unusual a greeting for her but Vora still had to think about it. There was only a brief moment of hesitation before she took Fayth’s hand and gave it a firm shake. “I’m Vora Zorell, and this”-she gestured with her head to the one beside her-“is my son, Jerrin.”
Jerrin just gave a nod of greeting.
Vora gave the doctor a smile. “I’d be happy to join you but I think Jerrin is heading off to do studies, yes?” she said, querying her son.
“Yeah. Gotta go,” Jerrin said. “Bye.” And with that, he took off.
Vora just looked amused and startled chuckling. “He’s a boy of many words, clearly,” she joked. “I’m just going to grab something and I’ll be right back.”

Sharah saw Vora hesitate and realized she must have made some inter species gufaw. “It’s nice to meet you Jerrin,” she said as the boy took off. She grinned and shook her head as he took off. Obviously ready to be with kids his age. “Of course, I’ll be right here.” Sharah picked up her grilled cheese to eat it before it got cold. She probably would be living on these things for a few weeks. Wait....Zorell, that’s who the CMO told her to talk to about the Arboretum. Well her or the CSO. She wondered if Zorell was also a deep lover of plants.
En. Fayth, DoctorVora returned with a bowl of some sort of yellow-coloured stew that left off an earthy spiced scent, with a side of some sort of dark crusty bread. Also on her tray was a mug of what smelled definitely like coffee. the tall woman slipped into the chair across from Sharah and gave her a smile. “So, welcome to the Europa? How are you finding things so far?” she said as she tore off a bit of bread and dipped it into the stew.

Sharah took a sip of her water. The coffee smelled great, but she couldn’t touch the stuff. No caffeine for her. “I’m finding it like deja-vu. Our cadet ship was a discovery class, so I’m thrilled to know where everything is, but at the same time it’s very different. We came on board late last night. So most of us are doing,” Shara stops suddenly, seemingly having lost her train of thought and her thoughts else where, “I’m sorry. We’re doing onboarding today. I can’t wait to get into duty though.”
