Mattie hurried into main engineering and headed for one of the lockers in the back of the main bay. She unlocked it quickly and rummaged through the contents. Pulling things out and then putting it back. Finally finding what she was looking for, she found the connector that she needed for the scanner and headed back to the transporter room =^=Franklin I found something that might work. You’ll need to use the adaptor that I’m sending with it. It’s going to be slow going.=^= She added as she sent the piece of equipment to the other engineer.

As the device materialized, Franklin picked it up and began to examine it. It looked like some kind of adaptor, but it was something he’d never seen before. He was knowledgable about duotronics, having had a hobby of tinkering with ancient equipment as a kid, but he’d never tried joining two systems together when one of them was this outdated.
