“Quite overdue, if my files are correct. Though I suspect that isn’t quite your fault.” The Andorian nodded solemnly. They would find that Tolar’s idea of medical care involved a bit more than simple check-ups now and then. In fact, the rather dour-seeming Andorian Doctor not only had the crew’s medical files but their personnel files as well. “As for tea, I can replicate whatever you like… I don’t often insist that others join me in imbibing Srajula as it’s quite bitter at first taste.” Tolar took a long sip of the glowing Orange Tea.
“I have rather different taste buds myself,” Zorell said, gazing at the CMO curiously.
“While we’re getting your tea ready, you can tell me about any changes in your recent moods or general health.” Setting the teacup down, he leaned heavily on his ebony cane, moving toward the replicator in his office, expecting her tea order at any moment.

Following him, Vora exhaled slightly, letting whatever slight tension she had walked in with dissipate. “I’ll try what you’re having. At least if I have an allergic reaction, I’m in the right place, right?” she said with a slight grin.

The Andorian chuckled softly and nodded as he punched in a command on the replicator. A moment later, he returned and presented Vora with a teacup. “Unless your medical file is incomplete, I think you’ll be just fine. Now… Did you have any concerns you’d like to tell me about?” Tolar hung his cane by its curved handle on the nearest surface and began scanning with the medical tricorder.

Wrapping her pale yellow hands around the cup, she let the warmth seep in as she shook her head. Her cropped red hair was starting to grow out again and the mass of densely thick strands shook slightly. “No, I’ve been good. Since it’s clear you’ve read my record, I can say that I haven’t had an allergic reaction to anything since I discovered I can’t tolerate synthehol, and I have been clean and sober since my last relapse.” She said it so effortlessly that it took her momentarily aback. It had certainly been long enough, but with addiction there was no such thing as being recovered. But she was far enough along that the struggle was so much less. She had to be mindful but she didn’t have to worry as much as she use to.

The Andorian nodded gravely, but there was no judgment in his expression at all. “We all have our battles, Lieutenant. You should be proud of yourself, many do not win this particular fight. I’m no stranger to it myself, as a matter of fact.” His smile was brief, a bit sad, and a bit knowing. He passed the scanner attachment tool over her once more and then stood back. “Well, you appear to be in perfect health. Though, Of course, I am no expert in your people’s physiology… yet.” Putting the medical tricorder and scanner away, he leaned against the bulkhead and took a sip of his tea. “You are officially cleared for duty,” he smiled, savoring the bitter flavor as one antenna bent slowly toward the steaming mug in his hand.
