“You know, I don’t know if any of this is relevant either,” Johann shrugged. “It’s entirely possible that this is an novel situation where historical facts that we have access to will tell us nothing much useful, aside from the fact that this ship is really, very old.”
The Captain was actually correct about this, as the Europa’s crew would soon find out.
He turned to Marsh after thinking about this more. “We don’t have a… Klingon personnel database in there or something, do we? I kinda don’t want to call the Klingons because I suspect it’ll take forever to get an acknowledgement, let alone any kind of answer.”
– Johann Dvorak, CO
“That’s why I pulled up the names of the ships engaged.” That’s should be in the data base. (I hope)
Marsh
The results of the database search would reveal that the vessel in question did not participate at all in any Klingon encounters with V’Ger. Nor was it ever assigned to the Lantru sector.
The Andorian doctor had entered the bridge quietly somehow, despite the tap of his ebony cane as he walked. His antennae curled forward curiously as he leaned on a handrail, listening to the Captain and the Science officer before interjecting. “Better not to contact the Klingons until we have something glorious to tell them about their century-old missing crew.” The sarcasm wasn’t heavy, but it was there. “Sorry to interrupt, but I wanted to see what was going on up here since no one seems to give a damn about their medical evaluations.” Tolar didn’t mention it, but he was also interested in seeing whatever came out of the Klingon ship’s medical database…

The Captain swiveled to face the doctor. “Yeah, we’re a bit busy here,” he said. “I mean, sort of. You know, ‘Away Team operations’ busy. Though I guess that ship out there could decide to shoot another torpedo at us with very little warning…” Despite that being a real risk, he didn’t seem terribly concerned about it. After all, if that was going to happen, wouldn’t it have happened about 20 minutes ago?
“Did you send anybody nasty-grams about missing evaluations? You know, people always try to avoid evaluations. It’s the natural order of things.”
– Johann Dvorak, CO
The Doctor snorted at both the Torpedo comment and the Nasty-Gram comment. He could tell he already liked the Captain, even if the man seemed slightly cavalier by his rather stiff standards. “That’s why I don’t send reminders, I prefer house calls. Besides… all my grams are nasty, it seems.” The Andorian’s dark eyes swept around the bridge, taking in console readouts now and then. “Anything happening on that old bucket yet?” He asked.

Marsh took the issues of a spontaneous attack more seriously than his expression and his history would suggest. He took a moment to scan the power systems and the weapons. He pursed his lips. Nothing so far. He turned back to the captain and shrugged. “He’s just cruising out there…”
Marsh
“We’ll probably hear something interesting soon from the Away Team, especially now because they’ve split up,” the Captain said. “Anyone want to make bets on which of them have something interesting to say first? I bet Avik’s half of the team figures out how everyone died before Franklin checks in with how badly damaged the power systems are.”
He wasn’t proposing actual betting… though I guess they were just talking about having a card game…
– Johann Dvorak, CO
Just then, a call came in for Lt. Cmdr Sullivan.
=/\=Hey Chief, Franklin here… We don’t happen t’ have any diagnostic scanners old enough to connect to a Duotronic Circuit do we? I won’t be able to get into the Core systems without one, I’m afraid…/=/\=
- Franklin, engineering
Marsh snorted back a laugh. ‘Good luck with that.’ He thought. “I have a BetaMax somewhere too.”
Mattie thought for a moment =^=I think I can get one for you.=^= She said as she looked at Johann “I need to run to main engineering really quickly.” She said “I’ll be right back if that is okay?” She said.

=/\=Copy that, Chief. Standing By./=/\= Came the NonCom’s reply.
-Franklin
“That’s perfectly fine, Miss Sullivan,” the Captain said reassuringly. He was curious to see what she’d come up with.
– Johann Dvorak, CO
=Avik to the bridge. We’ve made it to the medical bay. Nox appears to have tapped into some of the crew’s experience on the ship. It confirms something bad happened, but we’re still looking into the details. We’ll keep you updated when we find something.=^=
–XO, Avik, Lt. Cmdr
Marsh turned and listened to the message then turned back to his station. Trouble usually started when someone went somewhere interesting so he decided to focus the scanning on that area. Not to mention Klingon sick bays tend to be small so this would be a quick and easy scan.
Marsh CSO
Mattie left the Bridge quickly and headed to main sickbay. Marsh’s comment in her head ~If he only knew the things that I have in main engineering.~ she could potentially open an engineering museum.

It was about fifteen minutes later and Mattie was back on the Bridge “Hopefully what I sent will work.” She said as she resumed her station.
