Madison made her way to the engines, they should not be overheating like this and there was no damn good reason for the coolant lines to be blocked, striding into Engineering “Give me an update, Where are the coolant lines being blocked?” She asked as she pulled up the lines and the diagnostics that were being run and using the practiced eye she began scanning the data.

“There not, at least the computer is saying they are not.” NE Johnson replied from Impulse control. He was clearly confused. The computer was indicating that coolant was flowing, and that all systems were normal. However, the impluse engines were still overheating.

Mattie looked at Johnson “Get Evan and Dana and start walking those lines. There is something blocking them, we’ve had to shut down three and four. Kevin and Kirsten keep monitoring the other engines and we’re going to find out what the hell is going on on this ship. Ever since that damn virus.” Mattie was irritated and wanted to know who was messing with her engines and her ship.

Mattie’s comm keyed up. “NE Buell to Commander Sullivan, I am at impulse engine number 2. The sensors here show that the impulse engine is over heating, but there is coolant flowing. I don’t understand. I am however, picking up a strange signal coming from the transfer coil, I can’t get a lock on it.”

Mattie responded as she headed out of the main engine room =^=I’m on my way there. Keep tracking it and send the signal to the bridge.=^= She opened her comm badge =^=Sullivan to Bridge. Start scanning the nacelles for strange signals. NE Buell is transmitting them now.=^= She said as she hurried to where NE BUell was located so that she could try to track the signal.

=^=Commander Sullivan, There is some sort of device attached to the coolant line. I don’t recognize the design and=^= A loud zapping sound came over the comm, followed by a scream.

Damn it =^=Medical teams to the Impulse Engine 2. Unknown injuries. Be aware of electrical energy in the area.=^= She said as she ran towards her team. =^=Bridge, I’ve lost contact with the repair team at Engine 2. Get me those scans…we have a device on the coolant line and it’s injured my damage control team.=^=

The Captain’s voice came through Sullivan’s tiny commbadge. =/\= Sullivan, we’re sending more people your way and trying to find out what we can up here. What’s this device look like? =/\=

He obviously had no idea that she hadn’t seen it herself yet.

=^=Once I have eyes on, I’ll let you know.=^= She said as she came up to where her team was supposed to be and found them lying around. Taking out her tricorder, she began scanning for the device and found it on the coolant line. She began scanning it and sending the data to the Bridge as well as a live visual of it. =^=Captain, information coming in.=^= She said as she transmitted the data (OOC: What does the device look like?)

There were two NE’s laying on the ground. They were alive but looked burned, as if from an electrical shock. Along the impluse coolant line was an open panel. Sullivan would recognize it as the access panel to the coolant line sensor. A device, fading into and out of phase was a small silver box that looked like it was placed next to the sensor along the coolant line. There we trace nuclear vibrations coming from the device.

Kayla showed up with two nurses. “Can we approach them?” She asked cautiously.

Mattie nodded “Yes, just don’t touch anything around them.” She said =^=Captain, this thing is phasing in and out. =^= She used the tricorder to send a video of what the device looked like and what it was doing a silver box that was attached to the coolant line and was phasing in and out. She spoke almost too calmly =^=I need to get someone down here with a couple of field enhancers.=^= She said as she moved closer to the device to try and get a better reading off of it without touching it.

She glanced back “Get them out of here as soon as you can and have a medic standing by, on the off chance that this goes south. They need to be on the other side of that bulk head though.” Mattie ordered “Do not transport them from this area, take them out of here before you transport.” She also added.

The video was sent to the bridge with out issue. Getting closer to the device did nothing to improve the scan. Her tricorder was getting no readings from the device, save for some slight nuclear vibrations. As she stepped closer though, the device started to spark.

Mattie stepped back quickly “Okay. That’s not good.” She said =^=Captain, this device is giving off nuclear readings and if you step closer to it, it starts sending out sparks.=^= She said =^=Even getting closer I am not getting any clearer readings. Can you attempt to lock onto the device and transport it away from this area?=^=
