Captain, no members of your crew are suspected, but as they were the last known people to speak with him. I would like them to provide a report to me on any conversation they may have had and if there were any incidents that went unreported.=^=

She had always had a good poker face, and Abrams managed to engage it as the man spoke. This, despite the wrenching in her stomach. Oh, Archie. She felt a profound sadness that was a bit unexpected given she had hardly known him. But he had lost everything and fled to what he assumed would be safety. It was beyond tragic and it made her sad, as well as a touch angry.

Avik’s eyes shot to Zeke. They held a warning hint as she remained silent, her posture unchanged. She resisted from shifting and kicking the CMO under the table. It wasn’t a Vulcan thing to do, but neither was bending the truth.

She reminded silent while the conversation continued.

Zeke regained his composure as he remembered where he was. If asked, he could chalk up his reaction as normal to anyone in the medical profession having heard that anyone else died. Especially under such questionable and suspicious circumstances.

Abrams frowned deeply. “I think that Archie had good reason to feel like his life was endangered. He was a refugee, fleeing after his family was killed and he was on edge the entire time we spoke. It’s not paranoia if they really are out to get you,” she said.
